Got a mate getting married at the end of April, and I want a new suit (last one I got was like in 2008). Said to the gf we will go check out Peter Jackson.

Went in with a budget of $500. Rock up there today, turns out everything is 50% off. Picked up a suit with alterations to both jacket and sleeves & two shirts for $510. That all normally would cost $930.

******* winning. So bloody rapt.

Nice. Had similar today at Greg Chappell Cricket Centre. I finally found a new bat heavy enough, everything 30% off. And the Mrs decided to buy it for my birthday! Excellent!

Sturt FC, Arsenal FC,
I need a new suit or two myself. I hate clothes shopping so much though.
I hate suit shopping. The place I get my work suits from only has stores in Sydney and Melbourne, so when I go to Sydney to pick up a couple, I have to stand there for an hour while they measure me, even though they have my measurements.

Even though I only get a couple new suits every year, it's still f*cking irritating.

Peter Jackson is a suits store? Not in WA.

I thought Peter Jackson was a ciggies brand or a LOTR director or the rugby league player.

True story I saw Peter Jackson (the rugby league player) at the Hip-E Club in Perth shortly before he died off his chops on booze and drugs, sad story.

Sorry to bring the atmosphere down in the things that please me thread but I just had to share.

Jackson's drug abuse, alcoholism, and subsequent suicide was as a result of the inner demons caused by his abuse as a kid that he never felt able to talk about. It's a terribly sad story.

Most people here wouldn't know about him but he was a great rugby league player, played for the North Sydney Bears, Queensland and Australia and was carving out a good media career as he was a real character.

Most people at the Hip-E Club that night didn't recognise him either as Perth is an AFL town but being a rugby union player that followed rugby league I picked him out in the crowd straight away. He was off his chops but not in a good way, a lot of people there were off their chops there but just enjoying themselves, he looked like he was on a mission to self destruct.

I didn't think all that much about it at the time but when I heard how he died a few months later I thought back to that night and it all made sense.

Don't apologise! It pleases me when deadshits OD and die. That makes fewer of them :thumbsu:

Rough.

Not knowing the bloke at all but is it fair to call him a deadshit? Bon Scott OD'd and died and he never hurt a soul, only himself. This rugby bloke could be the same.

Well this guy is a grade A twat.

Even if I care little for comparatively, don't you have any sympathy for how those close to him would have been effected by his death? Or do they all deserve that feeling to for loving and caring for the bloke?
