Merry Christmas fellas

Things that please me - Having a massive night last night and waking up with no hangover ready for more beers. It's God's way of saying Merry Christmas. Love it.

Not the foot fetish

I hate the word fetish. It makes it sound like some obsessive thing where I orgasm everytime I see a female foot. Which is only half-true.

The cheerful sound of children in the street having fun with their presents.

/no pedo.

I had strict instructions not to be hungover for Christmas lunch at 12. So last night I went out and had beer, scotch, bourbon and some tequila thrown in for good measure and then home at 11:30pm.

Might not have been a massive night but I tried to make up for it with intensity. Woke up fine and had a day full of all kinds of magnificent food, Moet and Mumm champagne, lovely reds and my favourite blended scotch (was a present).

Just a nice day really.

I thought it was a fashion mistake when people wear old sports gear out in public, there was a joke a few years ago about the type of people that do it and that it wasn't socially acceptable. But what pleased me today was seeing someone wearing a 2003 Wallabies World Cup players top.I own a 2007 World Cup Wallabies replica and it is one of the best sport tops i own - and super comfortable.... which is why i still wear it today (although not as often as i used to, i'll still waer it at least once a month).

I actually wore the Barcelona FC 12/13 Away kit while out at the Boxing Day sales today. Looked like a gigantic passionfruit.... but still awesome.

That my 60 dollar K-mart pool is now filling up. Nice size pool for the price and looks to be good quality. Only problem is stupid rain water tank, I don't know how to use it, looks like its only hooked up to work when we use the washing machine/toilets so ive had to create a hose that would fit onto the pipe, less than half pressure of what a fitted hose would run at but its free water so who cares!

Salted caramel bombe, fancy way the Coles marketing department sold a pudding filled with salty caramel.

Beating my PB on a small circuit i set myself. Have shaved off 15 minutes from it over the last 2 weeks. The good thing is that i can (and will) shave more off of it over the next few weeks, when i decide to go full tilt the entire time. I basically go full tilt the first 30 minutes (which is often the hardest as it is entirely up hill), then i do it casually the rest of the time.

To force myself to pick up the pace i designed a play list for each section of the course. The hardest part: tracks from Rocky, Superman. the easiest: Phil Collins, the home stretch: Bruce Springsteen and Michael Jackson.

Born To Run?

As a Muslim we've never celebrated Christian holidays. Not sure about 'replacement' but we do have our own religious holidays/celebrations such as Eid. No trees or carols or presents but plenty of family get togethers and food and enjoyment.

It doesn't matter what religion you follow.
Thats what its all about.
Catching up with loved ones and enjoying your time together.

What is the Phil Collins music that you use to inspire your run?

I wouldn't say they inspire my run, the Phil Collins section of the circuit is when i am most relaxed and take it casually (it's also the easiest and flattest part - no up or downhill). I have chopped and changed it but sussidio, two hearts, can't hurry love and against all odds feature regularly (against all odds is either the first OR last track i play during the section). I should also point out that i use a device with a built in speaker, no headphones for me.... so everyone can hear what i am listening to as i go past :D.

Sidenote: I actually got dared recently to dress up in full Superman costume and go through a shopping center with the Superman march blaring.... it went down rather well :thumbsu:
