A woman from work has started a Messenger group with others from work to set up a Go Fund me account for someone who worked with us a couple of years ago who she is still friends with. Piss off. We're asked to put our hands in our pockets all the time at work. I'm not coughing up for someone who used to work with us just because this you're still friends.

What's the GoFundMe for?

I'm with Catfish Alley, there's nothing wrong with asking the question, as long as she isn't trying to guilt or force anyone into it.

I'd support the GoFundMe of a former colleague or friend/family member of a colleague if I thought it was worthwhile.

I'd definitely rather give money to a stranger saving rhinos or teaching orphans or whatever than someone I know who wants a holiday.

It's weird. Begging in the street is socially unacceptable and the lowest of the low. Yet one can go online and set up a Go Fund Me for an over seas jaunt or cosmetic surgery or a new kitchen and all is well.

She's a diabetic and apparently there's some new gadget which constantly monitors her blood sugars rather than her having to check all the time.

I'm not opposed to giving money. I just feel that at work we're constantly pressured to dip into our pockets and for some pretty trivial causes.

Another rubbish Eminem album. Had high hopes for this one too. Didn't like 'Walk On Water' but he showed a lot of self-awareness so I thought he'd finally start channelling his old self somewhat. Nope, aside from 'Castle' (which is a fantastic song) most of the rest of the album is absolutely terrible. Time to let go, RIP SHADY *listen to Eminem Show with solitary tear rolling down cheek*
