If you have a spare time and the weather is right... go see the london bridge and other such stuff on great ocean road. It's not a bad look. Great pictures to bring back. It's a full day trip though.

Eat at Hardware lane in the city (or lygon st), but Hardware lane is easier to get to.

Didn't London Bridge fall down recently?

Since you're down for AC/DC I'm assuming you will be down between 10th-15th February. If so, St.Kilda Festival is a must! Always have a fantastic day with some pretty sweet free music. Line up should be announced soon.

Mt Dandenong for views of the SE suburbs and the city, rainforest and devonshire teas. Or try The Cuckoo for lunch.

Go check out the surf of the Mornington Peninsula or Great Ocean Rd.

The view at sunset is absolutely magical!

Eureka Skydeck was pretty cool, don't bother with that 'The Edge' crap though if you go there. Just go out for lunch wherever, its all quality and so cheap in comparison to Perth. Belgian Beer Cafe i think its called near Eureka Skydeck was quality.

Crown Casino is nuts, although no-one seems to watch the soccer there which was kinda crap, i thought that place would be packed similar to the Burswood.

King St is a must :D

All the shops are amazing, Chapel St, Chadstone etc all amazing. Went to Foster's brewery that was good fun :thumbsu:

St Kilda beach was woeful as well as the restaurant we went to there, in fact virtually all Melbourne beaches sucked in comparison to Perth's, but meh you get that. About the only gay thing about it, except for a few clubs hidden away in the side streets, which some I am fairly sure were too in a literal sense. Most of the nightlife is awesome though, theres so many options, you can go out basically anywhere there, whereas in Perth its all a couple of hotspots where everyone goes on the same days.

Try out the tours, my mates had one where it went around to all the sites, started at 7am got home roughly 12 hours later, got to ride in a helicopter and went all over the place. Highly recommend the Sports Tour, including the MCG tour and the Sports Museum.

That should keep you occupied :thumbsu:

Best way to enjoy Melbourne is to eat. And get a bit out of the city to do it. The CBD is shit, yuppy and overpriced.

Try Claypots in StKilda. I know you come from Perth but trust me, it's damn fine seafood, fresh market fish at a very reasonable price. Safron cafe in Ivanhoe, my mate has travelled the world and says it's as good as the Indian in London (Yes he's been to Inidia ;)). Try the braised baby lamb's leg, slow cooked in the tandoor oven, it's a winner, as a matter of fact I've made myself drool, I'm going to have it tonight (They do delivery!!!!!:D). Jims Greek Tavern, in Collingwood. Vlads in Richmond, it's not the best steak in Melbourne but it's the only one you can afford. I'm sure others have some recommendations.:thumbsu:

go down to inverloch if you have a nice day. it should be hot in feb. some excellent beaches to swim at and the fishing is first rate if you know where to go! and boats arent overly much to hire.
