When I'm walking behind someone and we are both approaching a door I always either speed up or slow down to make sure I am either close enough to the other person to make it so we both go trhough the door easily on the same opening or leave a big enough gap that two separate openings are obviously required. Hate those awkard distances where the person in front holds the door a few seconds waiting for you to go through and you feel like you have to rush.
