A New Concept In Qootball
For thirty-six seasons, the Sweet Football Association has been the standard-bearer in fictional football associations.
Over that time, countless bonds have been forged between teammates and opponents alike.
The other day, Tigerturbulance posted a thread that invited readers to submit their Dream Teams of past and present players, with the catch that you had to select from a pool of people you'd played alongside.
And since I have no real originality of my own, I'm partially ripping off his thread and parlaying it into something new.
The other day, I challenged U2tigers to a qooty match after discovering that our Dream Teams had only one player in common.
Hmm, Greenery aside, there's no crossover between our teams.
I'd like to formally challenge Team Bono's Edge to a match with Team Phenom.
Qooty match, not wrestling. I don't think the sim can handle that many wrestlers outside of the Royal Rumble.
Bono accepted, and an idea planted itself inside my head.
What if this could be more than just a one-off affair?
What if there was a pseudo-competition where each week, there was a fresh match-up between dream teams?
How about Barrybran's GumBears vs BLUEALLTHRU's Maestros?
Tonga Bob's Burgers vs Callums_Guns SFA Team?
Kennedy Parker's Administration vs por_please_ya's Eevee Evolutions?
Hell, why stop at just Dream Teams from Turbo's thread?
Why not take the opportunity to field classic All-SFA sides against each other?
Why not have old prospective expansion bids get back together for a one-off reunion match?
Why not pit historic premiers against each other?
And that's just the top of the iceberg. We could do one-off merged teams. East vs West. All-star spectaculars.
Representative teams in support of pineapple on pizza vs clowns without taste buds.
All that and more could...no...will be hosted in the one thread that dares to make dream qooty matches into reality.
THIS. IS.
THURSDAY NIGHT TITANS
And kicking off the (possibly) weekly matches a little later on...
It's U2tigers coaching Bono's Edge against my own Team Phenom!
