Finally, the Collingwood Website has confirmed what most of us knew, that the final training session leading into Friday Night's preliminary final will be held at Gosch's Paddock on Thursday, at 10.30am.

I know there are plenty of supporters coming from interstate and even overseas for this weekend and hopefully next weekend also, so below is a link to the google maps location of the training ground.

After missing the last few training sessions due to lining up for U2 Tickets the past 2 Fridays, I will be there tomorrow.

Wheres the best spot to get a car park?
The best place to park is somewhere near the Tan/Botanical gardens, on the other side of the Yarra, then you can cross the old footbridge and you are at Gosch's paddock.:thumbsu:

I have never attended a training session, is it really that entertaining? Honest question.
Have I been missing out? Sell it to me! :D
Most training sessions are as boring as bat shit to be quite honest, but the finals training sessions, and especially one like this, leading into such a huge game is worth attending, just for the atmosphere.

I'd be expecting 1500 to 2000 people there tomorrow, and that will add an atmosphere that we haven't seen at Gosch's Paddock too often.

If you are to attend on training session a year, attend this one, because there is no guarantee we will get a GF one, and even if we do, it will be at Vic Park more then likely.

The "other reason" is to see first hand how Presti and Wellingham are going, as I really do think, that those at training tomorrow will know the final 22 to be picked by the time the session is over.

Not really i would think. they would just be going half arsed and doing basic drills so other teams wouldnt know their game plans if attending.

But it still would be good to see.:thumbsu:

Interesting little training session this morning.

Most eyes were on Presti and Wellingham, but I'd be amazed if they don't both play after watching them this morning.

The boys seemed in a very jovial mood, laughing and joking throughout the session, although at the end Maxwell made the point of getting them all together for a short speech before the walked off together.

We would have had the full 31 "finals squad" out there today, with the likes of Fraser, Wood, Medhurst, Anthony, Buckley and Lockyer joining in the likely 22 prelim players.

The session wasn't as high of an intensity as some may be, but there was a focus on "inside use", which was good to see.

Everything's going well, about 31 hours out.:):o

Appreciate the reassuring report, Matty. Do we need a countdown thread?
Nah, no countdown thread needed, I'll pop up the matchday thread around midnight (maybe even a bit earlier:o) so we can count down the last 18 hours or so through that.:)

This is no doubt, the most nervous iv ever been before a game. All week iv only had one thing on my mind, and have been going through matchups and all that sort of stuff. If we can win life will be good.

LOL nah it won't because you'll just go through the same pains x 2 next week... :)

My thoughts exactly. I've been thinking about this game all week, mainly due to the expectation that we are going to win. Last year I don't give us a chance without Pendles and was a very ho-hum lead up to the game.

I personally don't remember even being this nervouse leading into the 02-03 grand finals. Quite strange.....

I'm not nervous at all due to the fact I'm bracing myself for a loss.
Expect the worse and hope for the best....

Yeah same here, I guess it's got a fair bit to do with being the No1 side this year, going in favourites, and so many people telling me they think the pies will win the GF, I'm never as nervous when we are the underdogs.

I remember the last 2 prelims I have gone in thinking we weren't upto the cats standard and would be extremely lucky to win, while this year I know that if we play our best we should win.
