Las Vegas has suspended key position player kdavva74 indefinitely after he attacked teammate Barrybran during an intra-club match at The Stadium In The Sky.

"kdavva’s actions were totally unacceptable, on or off the field, and we are bitterly disappointed in the incident with Barrybran," said Las Vegas coach Christopher Walken.

"kdavva has been suspended from the club until further notice pending a Sweet FA investigation.

"He will not be involved in any club activities and will be required to train with our District FL affiliate while he is suspended. In addition he will undergo an anger management course with the club sports psychologist Doctor Gero."

Walken said kdavva was remorseful and had apologised to Barrybran for the off-the-ball incident which happened in the third quarter of today's match.

Bears leadership group members were involved in the decision to suspend kdavva, who is certain to also be reported by the Sweet FA match review panel on Monday.

The match at The Stadium In The Sky erupted sensationally just after 11am when kdavva punched and then kicked teammate Barrybran.

It is believed the incident stemmed from a recent thread outing kdavva as a suspected alias. Barrybran has since leapfrogged kdavva74 in the EKA betting with most agencies and pundits alike, jumping into favouritism himself, on the back of the startling revelations of the scandalous BRAB investigation earlier this month.

Publicly, the two have maintained a courteous professional relationship for the sake of the club and their members and supporters.
However this reporter understands bad blood has since developed between the two and relations have soured, with the tension finally boiling over during today’s game.

Coach Walken refused to rule out the possibility of the club tearing up the Territorian's contract following the incident.

Walken described the kick as "a poor act", and said while players often scuffle between themselves in intra-club matches, kicking was another thing altogether.

"Reflecting on what has happened, it's not part of our game'' said Walken.

''kdavva has gone home and we'll give him time to cool off and have a think about his actions and we'll take it up this afternoon.''

When asked whether the incident could prompt Las Vegas to sack kdavva, Walken replied: "We'll have to sit down and talk about all the issues.''

Although the match was an intra-club encounter, under Sweet FA rules, kdavva can be suspended by the tribunal.

Just after 12pm, the officiating umpires lodged a notice of investigation, which means the match review panel will scrutinise kdavva's actions on Monday morning.

The players were scuffling late in the third quarter when the up and about Barrybran sledged his teammate, at which point kdavva cut loose.

First he threw a left-handed roundhouse at Barrybran, dropping him, and then struck out with his right boot as Barrybran laid motionless on the turf.

The match was held up for 15 minutes as both players were taken from the field, with Barrybran being examined by the club's medical staff.

kdavva was sent off the ground by the club's Player Welfare Officer, Patrick Stewart, with captain JoshWoodenSpoon advising him to return home to cool his heels.

Neither player returned to the action and the game was stopped at the end of the third quarter. Barrybran left the ground afterwards without comment, having suffered a cut eye in the incident.

While the tension has been building for some time, kdavva is generally known for his calm persona.

Barrybran left the ground shaken and was assessed by doctors for what seemed a bruise on his right eyebrow and took no part in the game.

Surrounded by media post-match, he would say only that he was fine and was unwilling to discuss the issue.

The incident disrupts what was shaping as a perfect start to the season for Las Vegas, with captain JoshWoodenSpoon in perfect condition and kdavva74 considered by most to have an early but unassailable lead in the EKA Medal for Season 26 until the recent scandal broke.

Las Vegas powerbrokers would be bitterly disappointed, with the incident an unwelcome distraction in a week where they had completed the recruiting coup of the season, with former premiership hero Matera92 returning to the fold during the league's mid season trade period.

Matera92 now shapes as a likely in for kdavva74 in the Vegas side for this week’s upcoming clash with bottom placed Baghdad Bombres.

More to come.

Too long.

Please give me a summary

I threw a tantrum and kicked Baz out of frustration of losing the EKA.

Aside from being as factual as a piece by Qaroline Wilson, this is a well written piece of media and a welcome step up from a S26 rookie not named kdavva74 or Barrybran. You've just catapulted yourself into (a very distant) third place EKA finish, son.
Pick who's ashamed of getting kicked in the testicles by Zooey Deschanel.
