Do you think you guys can come up for the Tigers game after the heartbreaking derby loss?

Oh yeah and Troy Simmonds first game against his old club

As CC said, the team that wins the derby loses the next match and vice versa (happens about 90% of the time). Anyway, regardless of stats we have to win.

We beat Melbourne after we beat you last year. Chris Connolly is a tool and is just trying to deflect attention from his woeful coaching performance.

Where did he say 100% of the time. There are exceptions. Who is the tool?

I'll be sure to bring this up in a weeks time and we'll see who the tool is, hey?

5 reason's why you shouldn't be to confident anout next week's game against the tigers:

1. Tigers now have more confidence then there've had in the past 3 years

2. It's in Melbourne

3. Troy Simmonds

4. Richo's in form

5. Our midfield rotation is coming along, and looking better every week

Silly thing to say really, as is his attack on Wallace. I expect the Tigers to be really pumped because of it, so expect a really hard and tough game.

With Hadrill likely to return it means we have our two key defenders player which means that Richo and Simmonds will be non events.
The only real concern of that list is the fact it is in melbourne, but with our performances on the road of late I am not overly concerned.

Yeah, havin a go at Wallace was a bit strange but I doubt that its going to add any more heat into the match.

At first I thought Connolly just had sour grapes but now I realise he was just getting in early and didn't want to get upstaged by Wallet. Yep, this match has the makings for one of the most over-blown games of all time. Its the first time battle of the 2 promoters, Minibus vs Wallet, and we are going to be hearing about it all week: Richo vs Hadrill, Simmonds vs Beaker, Ali vs Frazier, McManus vs some hack, this immortal game will be talked about for eons.

I'm still trying to figure out what Ashley Sampi playing with children has to do with Connolly having a go at Wallace.

My tipping has been shocking to date, and i couldn't possibly pick a clear winner here either.

I do think it will be one hell of an ugly game though.

At this point in time i am leaning towards Richo-mond, simply becasue they are on a high, and the location.

nearly 50% posts from WCE fans? I didn;t realise you guys were playing the Tigers as well?

We could probably play a combined Freo-Tigers team and win

It must be boring being so much better than everyone else... And knowing it too. cocky ********er!

Do you think McPharlin will line up on Richo. If so, how do you see tha battle panning out, how fit is McPharlin?

Forget exceptions, CC is just making up crap.

At no time in the last four derbies has the above trend occured.

Derby XX, Rd 21 2004, Eagles def Freo. The following week, eagles won, dockers lost.
Derby XIX, rd 6 2004, Freo def Eagles. The following week, both sides lost
Derby XVIII, rd 22 2003, Freo def Eagles. The following week, both sides lost
Derby XVII, rd 5 2003, Eagles def Freo. The following week both sides won

The only time it did happen during the Woosh/CC era was 2002, when West Coast beat Collingwood at Subiaco at Freo lost to St Kilda at Optus. Given home v away performances of both WA teams that year, that's hardly a weird, derby influenced aberration.

I'd say it's more to do with taking away the focuss from this weeks game and moving hurriedly along to next week.

McPharlin is as fit if not fitter than Richo.

This will probably be the most important matchup of the game and McPharlin is more than capable of beating him but he was great yeaterday

eh!! it's what heppens when there isn't much WC/Freo stuff on the main board.

Those Vics are too caught up in their own little personal battles this week.

Besides, we won the derby.... Where else would you expect us to be? ;)
