Cornesy & Rowey just said on air that 3AW have announced Tippett has been offered a reduced penalty if he agrees to play for GWS.

If true, what is the difference between this and the agreement Sydney tried to gain advantage over Adelaide with? I really hope this is just Vic rumour.

If that's true, I hope for Vlad's sake that he checked both Tippett and his agent for recording devices before he blackmailed them like that, because the agent has been good thus far at keeping evidence of such offers/deals.

I can't imagine the reports about Kurt "accepting" going to GWS are right. Kurt no longer has any say in that matter, he goes wherever he is drafted, that's the whole point of the draft.


Kurt had his opportunity to accept a trade to a particular club, but he got greedy and chose a club that had no interest in actually putting together a reasonable trade for him, thereby exposing the illegal clause sitting alongside his contract. That opportunity is now lost to him, and he'll have to accept whichever club chooses to agree to his terms.

The GWS CEO was on 5AA and Cornsey was pushing him whether they would still pick him if he said he didn't want to go there, ultimately he said if we want a player and they could afford him they'd pick him up.

They spoke with Caroline Wilson, Kurt can tell the club he doesn't want to go there, but if picked he has to go or stand out.

He would be a relatively high profile player and a NSW born one too.

It's available to any club. You can pay them something like $1m per year outside the cap.
