Tippet deal is still way off guys so be patient will take time, but will happen.

Giles and Pears are 'likely' but interest in both from Vic clubs so wait and see.

Rumors going around afl clubs that Collingwood will 'test' the swans with Reid by offering a 'package'. Just cant see what the maggies can offer though to make sydney trade him....

Unless the "package" contains someone we can't turn down like Thomas or Pendlebury I think we'll pass the "test".

Is the trade happening because Reid wants to leave or Collingwood just want him?

Must be handing out a new Lexus with every contract over there.

Just a little bit. I'm thinking a 2nd round pick would be fair value, though Geelong wouldn't be too keen on putting 2 years of development in to the kid only to see him go for a pick in the 40s.

Think he could be a Sloane type player. One who goes late, but ends up being one of the better players the draft produces.

Nah, he just doesn't want to play for Sydney after he read some of the shit you guys come up with

I'm hoping Jaensch attracts some attention, or we'll be stuck with him on our list for the next 2 years. Not quite sure why anyone would be interested in him though..
Totally agree. I would be happy to give him away for a packet of chips because he won't be worth anything to us when we delist him in 2 years. If we get a half-decent offer then we need to take it unless we are comfortable with him taking up Symes' vacated role as SANFL chipscab.

Don't blame Blighty. He asked his good mate Mark Mickan (eagles coach at the time) who would be better...the rest is history

100% correct. Mickan told AFC that McGregor was the better player of the 2, and unfortunately they believed him. Ayres has to take the rap for killing off our 2nd and final chance.

He should have gone and had a look for himself, or ask any random on the street it was that obvious.

Very much a confidence player, Jaensch. When has it, is good. When doesn't, is bad. Had a good 4-week patch between rounds 6-9 this year, then just fell away. At 23, 2013 will be his make-or-break year.

Mickan encouraged us to draft every single listed WWT player at the time... except Pavlich.

Skipworth, Biglands, Cicolella, McGregor, Shirley, Bock, Burton, Crowell, Hentschel...

McGregor over Pavlich, and then a geriatric, out of football for a year Carey over Pavlich combine to make what is the biggest **** up in AFC history. It's almost as bad as Fremantle trading McLeod to us for Groom.

I have no doubt our trophy cabinet would be a bit more crowded than it is if we'd had Pavlich in our side for the 2000's.

And yet he's already contracted for 2014...

Pick 22 + Jed Lamb + Parker for Tippett and pick 40

?
Sydney giving up Parker, 22 and Lamb could work for us, but I think we'd rather it was in a multi-way trade due to Parker being Victorian and an inside mid (of which we have a relative abundance) and Lamb a struggling Vic that is also 'homesick'. The Bulldogs might be interested in taking those three for Pick 6 given they missed the MD but even then I think they'd be getting ripped off - though I think Rohan, 22 and Lamb would interest them greatly given their need for outside run and good disposal.

Regardless its not a red card-able trade proposal o_O

Bang on macca...he would have come back if we showed him the love

I can't see a spot for him long term. While he's a beautiful user of the ball, the rest of his game is a bit light on. I rate Martin above him, and Kerridge will probably will probably pass him as well next year. Crouch has to be fitted in as well.

He's a reasonable back-up player, but IMO that's all. If we used him as a bit of padding in a trade, it wouldn't worry me.

Very impressed how all the swans posters seem to have jobs in management at their club, so we know exactly what the club is thinking

ADELAIDE'S trade talks with Sydney for defecting key forward Kurt Tippett amounted to no more than a cup of coffee yesterday.
And the prospect of the Swans offering up out-of-favour forward Jesse White has fallen flat on the Crows.
Sydney must now buy drinks elsewhere around the AFL to find draft picks and/or players to satisfy the Crows.
Adelaide list manager David Noble and his Sydney counterpart Kinnear Beatson met yesterday, but the Swans offered nothing significant to advance Tippett's preferred move to Sydney.
"At this point, there is nothing to say," said Noble.
Adelaide officials were still expecting the Tippett trade to drag on as Sydney seeks a piggyback partner offering players or draft picks.
White does not hold instant appeal. The fellow Queenslander has fallen behind at Sydney where the ruckman-forward played just three games this season - the last in Round 7 against Richmond at the MCG.
Since being a fifth-round draft pick (No. 79) from Southport in 2006, the 24-year-old has played 56 AFL games and kicked 53 goals - all inferior numbers to Tippett.
Sydney's preference to protect its premiership players from the trade talks stops a quick deal with Adelaide.
The Crows would accept losing Tippett in return for 26-year-old defender Heath Grundy, a rookie selection from SANFL club Norwood.
Adelaide would accept a like-for-like deal that delivers them 21-year-old key forward Sam Reid.
Sydney premiership defender and former Crow Martin Mattner last night sidestepped the question on how the Swans feel about reports of Tippett being offered $1 million a season.
There have been claims of senior Sydney players taking issue with the rush on Tippett and how his salary could challenge the team culture.
"If we get him, that would be great," said Mattner.
"But I leave (trade issues) to the management and coaches."
Adelaide has confirmed its interest in Greater Western Sydney and former Port Adelaide-listed ruckman Jonathan Giles in trade talks.
"For our needs, considering Tippett is not there to support Sam Jacobs, Giles works for our needs," said Noble.
"So there is interest in him."

They're probably all aliases for Andrew & Natalie Ireland, so I'm pretty sure they know what both Sydney and Kurt's management are willing to deal for.

Not too pleased with this admittal. We need to be careful what we wish for.
