I will forgive you on the grounds that you are six posts old. One thing you will soon get used to. There are three groups in here. There's the rose colored glass brigade - they see everything in a positive light. The club knows best (well more than they do at any rate) so benefit of the doubt is often given. This though can and has ran out on the odd occasion. The end of the Craig era was one, and I suspect this current situation might be another. The second group are the negative Nellie, little chicken brigade. They see pretty much only the bad things about the club, the sky is constantly falling and the admin, according to them, are an unmitigated disaster. They have players they actively hate and will often try to find statistical errors to back their views up. There is much angst between the two groups which is often on resplendent display in here. Then there's the fence sitting brigade. They see things from both sides, though generally never at the same time. They often speak logic, sometimes speak shit, and can be quite entertaining - not unlike the rest of the crowd really.

So, in short, if you have a thick skin, a slow reaction time and a sense of humor, you'll do really well in here. If you don't? Run fast NOW, and never look back!

Can we put this in the T&C when signing up to BF that you must nominate which group you will belong to??

I'm assuming if this interview rumour is true, it's so we can video tape Jesse walking into the room, and Sando laughing in his face until he leaves, upon which we send the tape back to the Swans to convey our response regarding a trade.

I'd prefer to see the follow up meeting when Sando bench presses Noble and Harper for even suggesting White.

To be fair I do not know alot about Jessie White but if we did accumulate him into our squad I would fully support him like every other crow player. Although by what 99% of people are saying on here its probably not the best option going around.

I am hoping the Crows have an ace up their sleeve and Jessie is the "get one free" from the buy one get one free offer.

I completely agree, I've said on a previous post given that Kurt is coming out of contract, the fact that Sydney has priced Kurt out of the market and that Kurt refuses to consider any other club it makes this trade almost mission impossible for Noble & co.

Sydney has all the aces to super glue our nipples to the desk and pineapple us however I am still hoping that they will negotiate with some good faith

With that said the only criticism I do have is that we should have floated that we were prepared to redraft Kurt instead of dismissing the option

I think the last point that I've highlighted has guaranteed that there really is no way out for us to maximize our return for the loss of Tippett. Not that we ever would have done it, but the threat of it may have given the thought of going into the PSD a very undesirable one for Tippett and forced Sydney to offer more to remove that risk.

Really we are forced to fight with both hands tied behind our back now that we have openly admitted that we wouldn't do it.

Just on Jesse White, Channel Nine's News tonight stated that the Crows have denied that Jesse White was in Adelaide today for a medical.

Whether that is just slick talk to cover that he came for a medical on another day, or whether White definitely isn't included in this trade, who knows??

Whatever we do get, if it is from Sydney, will definitely be unders IMO, due to the first 3 point that I have highlighted above.

If there is a lesson to be learned from this, if we are ever in this situation again where a highly paid player is always talking and threatening about going home, it is to put that player up for trade with one year left on the player's contract.

That way we can completely control the trade and maximize the return.

I believe Norwood have been looking at Jesse White on the assumption he was likely to be delisted. Why trade for him especially since you've McKernan and Jenkins who are essentially the same? I can understand looking at a proper ruckman though.
But then again, John Meesen was also at the SANFL Grand Final and Norwood celebrations...

To the Mods,

In the past I have seen polls set up so that when you enter a thread you can cast a vote. Is it possible to create a poll on this thread so that when any of us enter this thread after setting up the poll, for the first time we get a chance to vote.

I ask this because there seems to be many of us who want to send Tippett to the PSD with no reward and there are those who want to deal with Sydney and only get a token reward from Sydney. The poll would be simple. It would go like this.

At this stage of the game it looks like Sydney are no going to play the game in a fair manner. What would you prefer the club do

• Accept pick 22 plus the possiblity of Jessie White
• Call off the trade talks with Sydney and send Tippett to the PSD thus losing any reward

I dont know if this can be done but if it is possible I would like to know just what percentage of the people here want to accept a deal that short changes us. I can't imagine how the Club is feeling when trying to weigh up what is the best thing to do. Get some reward or send a message for the future
