Email sent. I will welcome white to the club if he comes but surely we can get him for a third rounder if we wanted him.

Phil/Stephen/David

I am writting to show my disgust at the rumors floating about that we will acquiesce to Sydney's demands and accept the worst possible first round pick, which will keep moving back in the order when compo is announced, and a player who with all due respect would be behind at least 4 players who where not constant players in our 22.

Whilst this is rumor only at the moment I want to convey that if this is the final outcome it will be the weakest desicion a football club has made in a long time. Twice this year we will have strengthened a direct competitor and weakend ourselves in the process.

Firstly the overreaction in the Rendell saga saw him end up at Collingwood after a month of counciling. And now if we accept this we are letting a player dictate the future of our football club and strengthen the Sydney Swans in the process.

How are we supposed to compete for premerships if we are so weak off the field as to allow this to happen. The PSD must be used if this is all we can get as Kurt ending up at GWS for nothing while terrible would still mean we have not strengthened the Sydney Swans in the process of being weakend.

I hope the club I support is not as weak as we have been betrayed since the start of the Tippett saga. We should be as ruthless as the boys have been on the field demeans proper compensation or move a peice of Sydney's puzzle further west.

Please I implore you stand strong.

It's growing legs, and it's name is Jesse White...
http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport...elaide-for-talks/story-e6freck3-1226498133764
KURT Tippett's drawn-out move to Sydney could be formalised as early as today, with Swans big man Jesse White expected to be the linchpin in the deal.
The Advertiser can reveal White, a key forward/ruckman, is travelling to Adelaide today for a medical and a meeting with Crows coach Brenton Sanderson, who returns home today after holidaying in the US.
Swans boss Andrew Ireland said the negotiations to bring Tippett to the Harbour City were progressing well.
"We think it's getting closer and hope there is some news by the end of the week," Ireland said.
"David Noble (Crows list manager) and Kinnear Beatson (Swans list manager) have been working through the issues and there are some things that need to be ticked off.
"Brenton Sanderson arrives back in Adelaide tomorrow and that will allow some of the things that need to be finalised to be done."
I'll be shocked if that medical confirms the existence of a beating heart inside White's chest...

Its the lowest pick they HAVE. It's not like they can pluck a lower one out of their arse!
If we were doing our job then we'd say to Sydney it's up to you to pay a fair price for him - how you do that is not our concern. If they wanted to - or more to the point thought they had to - then they could easily trade other players to us or a third club to get the necessary picks. Saying that we just have to accept 22 as that's all they've got is a cop-out.

As I have said on the other thread re White my opinion is Vader is taking itbto extremes as he has done so with Pets in recent seasons

There is no debating White's past two seasons have been well below par however the lad does have talent and the tools to be a very good player at AFL level, let's face it clubs dont offer 3 year extensions early in your career unless you have something to work with

2009 White was exciting however mid 2010 structurally White was asked to play a role that he neither had the endurance or footy education to do so and since he has struggled with confidence and his development has also stalled

My thoughts are opposed to Vader's, Im confident a biggervground will suit White's strengths and in the right environment, good coaching and playing the right role there is no reason why White can't succeed at AFL level

We will all have our thoughts and opinions however it's upnto Jessie to prove us right or wrong

Time will tell
Sydney has shown time and time again to be astute traders and they get maximum value out of their resources. If Sydney, with their excellent coaching, culture etc don't want White then that raises very serious doubts on his AFL potential surely

Putting Nick Stevens & Luke Ball in the draft has certainly worked out well for both Port and St Kilda

This line that it sends a sting message for the future is just a myth

Port one a flag the next year, St Kilda in hindsight should have taken the pick because he ended up at Collingwood anyway.

You can not allow a club to completely bend you over like Sydney is doing at the moment assuming they are only offering pick 22 and White who is uncontracted and will probably be delisted.

Dawes got pick 20 + a pick upgrade, Sydney have to get something much closer to a top ten pick.

If they do not put a decent bid, then it will affect the relations for the future as you shouldnt get a player to join you with out reasonable compensation for the player.

Are we paying Whites last year of his contract? If so we've just freed up salary cap space so they could fit in Kurt. Surely we are not that dumb? Or perhaps Sydney have said we must take him or they won't give us 22.

I actually dont post much and normally just read what people have to say but seriously this board is becoming embarrassing carrying on like little school kids emailing the club because the crows arent getting the deal you want. Its now not about the player but trying to salvage something from a bad situation so the club can move forward.

FACT: Tippett is leaving the club to Sydney
FACT: They have shit all to offer
FACT: Tippett is a knob

Now its time to leave the clubs employees whom are much more experienced than all the negative supporters on this board to get the best possible outcome for the club. Dont forget we still have another 40 blokes on our list to move the club forward and one player will never be bigger than a club.

Its time to stop complaining and have faith in the club you support!!

Putting Kurt in the PSD is the easy bit ensuring he doesn't make it to Sydney is out of our control. Nothing GWS have said indicates they will pick him against his will. In fact mostly to the contrary. It makes your 3 preferences all completely hypothetical and without fact.

Yet I have no substance, fair enough.

I'm confident that they would. Of course predictions of the outcomes of various courses of courses of action are hypotheticals and 'without fact'. Thats the very nature of predicting outcomes when analysing interests. Im confident that the most likely outcome is that Tippett doesnt end up in Sydney if he hits the PSD (especially given past examples that demonstrate that clubs will pick players who didnt nominate them). Frankly, in my opinion running that risk is still a preferrable outcome to achieving a known loss- i.e. a below market value trade.

And yes. You have no substance. Given that you've failed to engage substantively and instead decided to rely upon rather sad attempts to paint dissenters from your opinion as childish 'trading marbles' types im more than confident in my assessment on that front. Especially given that the further this goes the less willing you seem to be to even consider the issue critically.

Its not childish to question whether one of the most important business transactions the club will undertake this decade has been handled correctly. Its actually far more childish to run the whole 'Tippett is a knob' campaign, and to blame him for our short falls at the trade table.

The AFC is not a ****ing religion. Its a professional organisation. I dont want to have 'faith', I want to see best practice in a way that is accountable.

Rubbish, they could trade for another pick (or be willing to put players that arent valueless on the table).

Its no more or less important than the Davis and Bock deals and look we still managed to come out the otherside and finish top 4 this year. If the club wanted us to tell them how to trade then they would have employed us. I dont have a problem with people being disappointed with the trades they do but this is all still speculation with no desicion yet made with people reacting to media or other rumoured posts.

Go the dockers, I was talking from a future trading perspective, I am sure on hindsight St Kilda should have taken a 2nd round pick + Wellingham for Ball rather than get zero

Re Port their tough position on Stevens didn't stop the Cats hierarchy disrespecting them by flying in to talk to Boak, do you honestly think the Cats would take the same approach if Port were Collingwood, I think not

Port were reasonably well compensated by both Freo and Hawthorn for Carr and Burgoyne, and in both scenarios the players only nominated one club.

The "disrespectful" act from Geelong is the sort of thing that happens all the time, they just got caught out on that particular occasion.

How can you be confident they would? Because you have inside knowledge of the GWS football club or is this the bit that requires outside assistance?

Obviously you are also an avid trader of marbles, sorry for the offence.

Because any assessment of their best interests suggests to me that it is indeed in their best interests for them to do it, the same for a number of other clubs. Thats the best indicator of the likely actions of a third party I've yet encountered.

If the rumors are true re Sando meeting with White, Sando could still walk away from that meeting and say that we are not interested

Fair point

a) Bock/Davis werent deals at all, and I'd argue that even if they were neither is as high stakes at this deal. Also, the argument that we can botch away because we've survived past botches is ridiculously low grade.

b) The club's administration arent supreme overlords. They are (or atleast should be, my kingdom for voting rights) servants of the membership base of the club.

Um Wickzki. Huge difference in these trades. First of all Carlton believed Jacobs was behind Kruezer, Warnock and Hampson. Tippett is our highest paid player and is a first up selection in our team. BIG difference.

Back to our Sydney -Adelaide trade. White coming to Adelaide was mentioned really on. I am confused why it wouldn't have been done early and the crows set out to make it like they were bargaining and they knew they had to accept this inadequate deal. This deal of #22 and White bugs me. Looks like things havent changed at the AFC when it comes to negotiations despite having whether we dont have the upper hand or do. Very disappointed if this goes ahead.

From now on i rather draft a majority of South Australians, despite if they are an inferior choice in the draft order.

Made this to cheer you guys up.
