Provided the jumperie is enforced on all occasions from here on I'm cool with the decision,but I'm a bit Dazbroncos at the moment because I don't believe it will be.Best thing for the club and Tom imo is except the shitty but correct decision but use it for resolve this week to get out and put the West Coast to the sword and I pray this might be the incident that wakes the sleeping(Tom Hawkins)Giant.

I just find it laughable that Hawkins gets suspended for a jumper punch against Davis, after that everyone just cops a fine. Cotchin then gives a jumper punch to Neale, which was worse than the Hawkins' one on Davis, and gets a fine, and now Hawkins gives a forceful push to crouch and is made an example of yet again.

Pretty pathetic, but the MRP has been horrendous so ages.

Mate, I played local footy where you could get away with throwing punches and doing damage ... the AFL clearly doesn't tolerate the same style of thuggery.

It's simple ... the players were warned about jumper punches and Hawkins couldn't control his emotions and transgressed, so he pays the price.

Plenty of players come in to fly the flag for a teammate but often none are suspended because they choose to push and shove or wrestle rather than throw a right jab while grabbing onto the jumper.

It really isn't hard to get your head around whether you deem it soft or not. The league decided to make a stand and try and rid the cheap shot from the game and Hawkins couldn't control himself. It says more about him than me or anyone else.

I get all that but what gives me the shits is that the North v Melbourne game where Cunnington gave Vince a decent whack to the guts, caused ten times the damage/pain that Hawkins did. I know its to the body etc but its just crazy when you look at the two side by side. Its the stupid gradings they do rather than actually look at the severity of the incident. Hawk deserves a week, I agree but the MRP are taking the piss that Cunnington gets nothing.

Yeah but the MRP have mentioned before that they don't use precedence, which in itself is nonsense as surely it is a way of creating a uniform set of outcomes..

Does the no precedence thing apply to the tribunal too?
