This keeps coming up in the media so it's about time...

I think he'll stay FWIW but if he goes what's his value? Almost certainly a first rounder IMO.

Swap for Marchbank?
Think you'd be chucking us a pick. I really rate him but a 100-gamer (which TMac will be come end of '16 assuming that he doesn't get hurt; played 91 to date) KPD, particularly with some of TMac's form, is worth more than a 6-game 19 year old.

Could happen though (although do you need him?!)

A very frustrating player whose ego is higher than his performances.

I'll back the coaching group to continue to improve him as a player, because his best years are ahead of him, but he's not the must signing that some people see. This draft/trade the Dees will look to shore up their defence.

That said, I think he'll stay. He's done the hard yards why would he want to leave now ? But I have a sneaking suspicion he values himself more than the club does from a dollars point of view.

Very confident he'll stay. Loves the club, especially now that he is playing with his brother.

Agree with a few assessments above though. Selfish player at times.

Potentially a very good player but really needs to understand his limitations. He's never going to kick it like Luke Hodge so he needs to take the easier option.

I rate him a bit lower than most because Joe Daniher has got a hold of him the last couple of times they've played but is a rare ish commodity and could see a number of clubs being interested.

Don't really see it with his brother though. Think he might be the Michael Talia to Tom's Daniel.

He just flat out isn't that good on guys bigger than him. Even someone like Daniher who is pretty poor body on body towels him up because his reach is way too high.

Fair enough

Guess that might be a knock when the number one forward or the backup ruck for most teams would be bigger than him at 194cm.

Guys like Cameron he plays really well on because athleticism is his strong point. The problem is Melbourne are crying out for someone to take the number 1 key defender mantle so that pressure isn't on McDonald all the time.

What acts of his would you classify as selfish? He has me tearing my hair out from time to time with some of his decision making, but I wouldn't say he's a selfish player as such.

If he were to go our KPB stocks would be pretty dire. We'd be stuck pretty much with Dunn and Garland unless the coaching staff decide to end the Frost as a forward experiment. Marchbank would be of interest, but I would expect the offer to contain more than just him at this stage.

Swans need to replace Richards and Grundy so they would have a look. Not sure what $$$ he would want and whether he would fit in the salary cap. He would be worth a decent pick maybe late first early second round. Form not as good as last year though.

Probably the same acts that have you pulling your hair out. Some of the baulking and flash play is pretty unnecessary at times. Sometimes I think he rates his ability a little higher than it is - but hey, every time he pulls it off it looks great and I'm in the stands cheering. Agree wholeheartedly that we'd be in trouble without him.

Next years second be enough with Marchbank?

This trade exites me.

Marchbank and Geelong's first?

Might not give us our academy lads...

Very tempting though.

Very.
That would probably get there although I still don't want to lose him

For a long time I was willing to chalk that up to our seeming inability to provide an option coming out of defense, but he still seems to be doing it now when we're working much harder as a team. Whether it's selfishness or poor decision making, it can be damn frustrating.

If he wanted out, I have serious doubts we'd get a better offer.
