Has his lawyer offered an explanation why an innocent man would produce a fake uber receipt to make an excuse for something that never apparently took place?
No, he was never drafted.was he ever on Carltons list?
I would've said the other one's a convicted rapist, but sure this works too.SOS now has one son a Saint & the other a Demon!
According to his father, they're considering it.Will he appeal?
Speaking outside court, Stephen Silvagni said: “Jo and I, together with our family members and friends, are so disappointed with the outcome.
“We all love and support our son Tom. Our son continues to maintain his innocence and we stand firmly behind him.
“We will be considering our options to appeal and shall not be making any further comments on this case. Our goal is to clear his name and bring him home and ask for our privacy.
“We’re very grateful for our support.”
Don't think that happened, a bit of back and forth before the police were alertedI wonder if they had any DNA from the victim, I would assume a rape kit was done.
I haven't seen that reported anywhere.
Ridiculous comment
Does anyone here know much about the conditions of the Melbourne Assessment Prison for where Silvangi is being held? ie is it the same as prison? And is this somewhere people on trial are held indefinitely till sentenced? (If yes, harsh for those who in fact innocent.) On another note, is this where the guy on trial for the Easey St murders has been held all year since being extradicted start of the year?
Scary stuff. But is where he deserves to be. As others have mentioned, every single person in there would be having major mental health issues as they await sentencing, so not sure if you can play that card. It's a remand centre which is similar to prison yes. Maximum security.
If you don't get bail after being charged you are put on remand and held there until the conclusion of your trial and subsequent sentencing.

But back to those who are innocent, that's kinda ****ed they have to endure the nightmare of being held in those conditions for months on end.
This doesn't suggest Silvagni family have much compassion
"Both his parents were present during the hearing but did not enter the courtroom until after the victim's impact statement had been read" - ABC
Another SPUD son of a gun.Didnt a very similar thing only happen a few short years ago? Albeit with a very younger child? That was all hushed up...
Agree. They were there to hear the evidence during the court case, but didn't have the decency to hear the victim's impact statement. This doesn't suggest Silvagni family have much compassion
