Oh it's not a given and I don't even think we will win 3, it's just such a curious fight for 8th spot I wondered how if we win 3 if we'd somehow be the favourites to make 8th given the uniqueness of this year's ladder
I’d say yes but there are scenarios where you can win three and miss or 2 might get you in as well if everyone falls over.

The top 4 is set: Dogs, Dees, Swans and Port, Cats and Lions are not good enough and it's a raffle for the rest, they are just fodder making up the numbers...

Dogs V Swans Grand Final is a good bet!

Well well well. That impressive Essendon upset, has certainly shifted things (they probably deserve it the most given their consistency). I have them making one of the last 2 spots. GC at Metricon is no gimme though.

GWS v Richmond is certainly an elimination final next week but something tells me that Eagles will somehow snag 1 of the games against Melbourne or Brisbane to take the other spot.

If the Top 4 next week were to all lose (Big If) and Brisbane win their last 2 games at home, Rd 23 could be very interesting with Geelong vs Melbourne and Bulldogs vs Port. The winners would guarantee top 2 and one of the losers would drop out of the top 4 entirely.

Couple that with the top 8 race and it would be one of the most consequential last rounds we’ve had in awhile.

If West Coast win tomorrow night it pretty much eliminates us, which in turn will all but eliminate Essendon. In our current form I don't give us much hope against GWS anyway, but if our chances become even slimmer to make finals we will get absolutely flogged next week. The Giants wont make the same mistakes North kept making to let us back in the game. That then leaves Essendon relying on Carlton to win in the last round.

Don't underestimate GWS's ability to **** things up when they are playing for anything important.

I reckon the Eagles only have 1 win tops left in them. Melbourne and Brisbane will put them to the sword.
Essendon will be favourites in our last two which scares me, we play garbage at Metricon especially

Essendon deserve it far more than WC tbh.

Will destroy both of those teams on route to 7 wins in a row.

Far out just went over to predict the next two rounds and we're still a semi-decent chance of overtaking Port to make the top 4. This weekend is exactly the type of game Carlton win after disappointingly losing to the Gold Coast and ending their finals chances just to give their fans a little more hope leading into next year. Then they have the Bulldogs in the final round away which they realistically should lose. Double chance is still on the cards, fingers crossed

Imagine the melts on the "Sack Ken Hinkley " thread on the Port board if that were to happen.

Port dont do so well after showdowns either.

Wouldn't bet on them losing to a poor team though. They're pretty predictable this year.

Port will either lose this week or absolutely slosh them.

The whole Teague saga is messy AF and the players will either band together to save their coach or if he has already lost the group they'll roll over.

Port ain't losing to Carlton so the chances of a top 4 spot are next to nilch
