If you're over 200cm and not a ruckman then your output has to be like Ben Brown, Jake Carlisle, Eric Hipwood, Joe Daniher etc

I feel if you're that tall and not a ruckman then you have to be elite in quite a few things to make it as a KPP, preferably mobility, agility, speed, onfield presence (strength preferably), marking ability etc

We haven't exactly set the world a light with these types of players and I just feel that there isn't a large enough amount of players at that size who have made it who aren't rucks.

Ayce was too skinny and lacked presence, didn't make it as either ruckman or forward, Cam Wight was very skinny and only really a third defender, Roughy is slow as treacle and doesn't have the same mobility and agility as say Trengove who is a little shorter at 197-198cm and aside from Roughs marking ability he isn't elite in anything else. Boyd has shown some signs but hasn't put it together and has question marks on his onfield presence.

Imo if you're a tall, anything in the 190s is fine as long as you have the reach, strength and aerial ability to not be outmarked. Smaller talls seem to have speed, agility and mobility areas covered compared to your lumbering talls.

I'd want Rozee or Smith with pick 7 if available. Rankine unlikely to be there though he'd fill a void too if he was. Hately even? Don't know much about him but sounds like he's a tall utility/mid.

I thought they were elite in terms of speed and agility? Ben came in the top 10 for the 20 m sprint at the combine. That’s a very useful trait.

I do think we have more pressing needs in other parts of the ground.

He'd be no great loss to them, they're well stocked for KPFs. But I must say it's very enjoyable watching GWS have to offload all of these players due to cap pressure, having apparently expected a premiership in the bank by now

I hear you Fronk but May would be a great pick up for our young defenders in Cordy & Naughton, all of a sudden they take the 2nd and 3rd forwards and it's not nearly as terrifying.

Getting May would be brilliant for us. He would be best 22 every week, take some pressure off the younger guys and more than make up for losing Adams. While defence is not our weakest area of the ground you take these great players when you can. Anyway, maybe nothing will come of it.

Imo kids that tall who aren't genuine ruckman are more than often busts than guns

How's the McKay boys going? They're around the 200cm mark, the Carlton one only just started getting a game this year while the N0rf one hasn't been sighted, both highly rated yet shown not much yet
