You assume he's suffering a long term mental health issue. He only took 2 weeks off footy, and has been back for close to a month now (would be over 4 months by the time of the trade period). I am not suggesting Jong be dangled around as trade bait, but that he may recognise that he'll struggle for games going forward, and therefore we may help find a suitable home for him, much like Roughead last year

Yeah if it were up to me, I'd keep him around. I actually really like him, even if he's not best 22. You could do far worse for depth

I just think if he wants more time in seniors, I wouldn't blame him for exploring his options elsewhere, and I'd hope the club would be accommodating to his request (i.e. I don't care if all we get is a few spots upgrade on a 3rd rounder or something like that)

Some players will defiantly be leaving Adelaide, that’s for sure.

I think a Kieth and Jenkins combo would fill our greatest needs.

I still think our forward line could do with a mature tall forward.

Naughton and Schache as the roaming tall forwards, with Jenkins staying deep would work a treat.

Naughton proved to us on the weekend that he can be that link man, even up the wings. Think Nick Riewoldt.

BUT I feel to make this work really well we need to add a pressure small forward. Which is why I’m still holding hope we can get Tippa.

I wonder IF the power struggle between the list manager & senior coach at the crows will end soon. Keath and Jenkins won’t be the only senior players wanting out. Not sure I want Jenkins but is better than no one.

After the Gibbs stuff up, the Grundy offer is going to piss off even more of the group.

Expect either the list manger or coach to be gone by mid next year.... 1 will prove the other is at fault but not sure who.

Instead of worrying about finding "finals type players" how about we find players who preferably actually get us into the finals race.

This talk of no "downhill skiers" is crazy. If we had AMT, Mckernan/Jenkins/Casboult, (players whom many deem "spuds") we would have won around 2 -3 additional games (basically guaranteeing us a finals spot). Schache offering nothing on occasion, Cordy spudding it up in the backline and a lack of small forward firepower (until Dale got his **** together) has cost us significantly.

I actually watch the start of plays and who does the hard work to allow others to do the tiny bit at the end.

Until 2020. At his best, he is a very capable medium forward and provides mongrel. I'd back him in to find form again next year, but wouldn't extend unless he solidifies his spot in the 22
