There’s absolutely no way of knowing that yet, but that’s what Power will be working out. I’m positive that’s his first preference.

Again, there’s nothing high in that proposal…we’re not the ones trying to bring in Dunkley.

I think your idea adds up in a lot, but it’ll be the least preferred option for us.
He's out of contract neither of us have any real leverage hence they're not going to trade a Rayner, McCluggage ect. Us taking adavntage of their need for father son points is how we can turn this into a win. Again we aren't starting with high picks but theres no reason we cant package them up and move up if we want too

When I find myself missing Dunks at least I can always go back and read some of the words of the man himself, and reminisce about the good times. Like from here.. The Dunkley Diaries: New website, homemade sushi, corona testing and footy's coming back!

"We then started cleaning up and disinfected the gym equipment and tidied up everything. When I clean up I like to do it properly"

Me too, Dunks, me too.

"Whilst answering a few JKLD emails I managed to cook dinner. Once dinner was completed and everything was washed up, I then headed upstairs again to play Fortnite with a cup of tea and choc chip cookie, which Lara had made. Lara had been baking"

mmm cookies. It's like I'm sitting right there with him!
I'm glad I don't have to pretend to like that boring, vacuous, pretty boy anymore.

North Melbourne will be granted two additional draft picks as part of their special assistance compensation from the AFL.

The Age is reporting that the Roos will receive a 2023 second round pick and a 2023 third rounder from the AFL – though these picks both must be traded.

The picks seemingly must also be traded for players. If the picks are not traded this year, they will cease to exist. The Kangaroos will also receive an additional two slots on their rookie list, to allow them more resources to target young and mature talent.
The proud Shinboners on the North board not taking this charity handout very well. They wanted more.

Would love to nab brisbanes two late firsts this year and their 2023 first rounder then give them other picks to get there points sorted for this draft.

I’d genuinely help them leverage Powers points management and use it and as an advantage for them, he’s managed to sort us out the last two years, means we might be able to dictate exactly what we want and not screw them over

How are we getting 3 top 20 picks? Very presumptuous of you.

Has the trade period started already?
By trading Dunkley for them it's not rocket science we aren't going to trade him for a packet of chips and a warm coke at minimum we will get 2

Yes the Bulldog victimhood has to shine through somehow. Never mind we get Darcy, Ugle-Hagan and West, along with a few other Father-Son picks over the last 10 years.

The point being clubs can regenerate quickly if they do things correctly. Perhaps the Swans is a bad example but whatever.
Your point is a good one, my response was to the tweet that you referenced which seemed to make out that Sydney have done a good job of managing it's list despite losing players.

And in no way am I playing the victim. We are the big winners out of that short lived academy system. It was just a complete knee-jerk reaction from the AFL to change it after one outlier.

This is not happening. All of this year's picks are being used for Ashcroft.

Future first and a future second or third is what is likely to happen.
Brisbane will definitely not be using this year's first to pay for Ashcroft, the system means you have to trade down for more picks and points ( as in Jamarra, Darcy, Daicos).

If we can be the party to provide these lower picks as part of a Dunkley trade, we'd be crazy not to

Is anyone else really happy with Dunkley choosing Brisbane and thinking about the amount of top end talent we can re-balance our list with?

If our midfield wasn’t so pathetic this season, plus our on field performances in general, I would care less.

Plus it also makes another contender better.

What do you mean ‘another’ one of our players?

This is the first best 22 player that has willingly left our club in years. Everyone else that has left has either been pushed or wasn’t best 22. Most clubs have lost plenty of best 22 players in recent times, it’s just the nature of list management.
I didn't necessarily mean best 22 players or ones that asked to be traded, I just felt like we had a player or two leave each year (2021 - Lippa, Young; 2020 - Lachie Young; 2018 - Dahl, Rough) and I wondered how it stacked up against other teams.

Judging by your response we're not as high on that list as I thought so that is good.

I'm glad I don't have to pretend to like that boring, vacuous, pretty boy anymore.

Those SEN Diaries remind me of 'what I did at school today' stuff. About as interesting as the videos he did with Treloar where they spent the whole time giggling and staring at each other while talking about themselves.

For what it's worth, the majority of player diaries and 'day in the life' videos (by anyone) are cringe.
