No to Adam Tomlinson for me.

Dees are offering him around.

Maybe a few years ago but a bit of a risk now being 29 and coming off a knee injury PLUS he has a decent contract.

Agreed - I never rated him previously. He isn’t a #1 or #2 defender, he is a tall flanker type IMO….

The issue with Tomlinson is that the Dees obviously want his salary off the books to help bring in Grundy and fill other holes. I know we need to worry about our own needs but I don't want to take someone on that will seriously help the Dees achieve their list management objectives.

I wonder if Dunkley moving on will be a good thing for Treloar and getting him to buy into the club a bit more. I agree with some observations that Treloar is a 'cultural ostrich'. Regardless of how the money works, he is our second highest-paid player at $900k a year, so we should expect more from him. I just haven't seen the passion and spirit in his game. I feel like he is a star on loan to us playing representative matches.
I want to see some 'ice in the veins' celebration like a Bailey Smith, or 'high fives all round' like a Josh Bruce or 'get the f*ck off him' like a Libba or 'wanna see me jump on your head again' like Naughton or some 'Get on my back boys, we're winning this one' like Bont.
Just don't get the vibe from Treloar.
Interesting observation. Treloar, in several interviews has spoken about how he misses his mates at Collingwood and how he really loved the club. Perhaps there is still an emotional tie there that prevents him from seeing himself as a fully committed Western Bulldog. On the other hand, his form with us has been very solid and it would be churlish to lable him as a player who lacks commitment and spirit. It will be very interesting to observe his next three years with us. Hopefully, we may even see his performance reach a higher level.

I still remember dunks in a game kicking 2 set shots 30 meters out and only on a slight angel and he missed all the sticks.
How does a professional footy player miss everything in front of goals.
Ducks was always looking else where so this was expected.
Dunks is replaceable, we have Sammy to hopefully get the best return and balance our list.
No more midfilders who can't hit up targets or kick for goals.
Your last sentence is on the money! This was his major weakness. Cannot have poor delivery from midfielders.

Apparently Jack Bowes informed the Sun's today that he wishes to explore his trade options.

Sam Power reportedly currently on the Gold Coast.

Hmmmm.

Hmmmm.

He played only 5 games this year and he is 187cm. What need does he fill?

Can Tomlinson play a more lockdown third tall role? Could see the contract being smoothed out over multiple years

That is a bit extreme. It is just depth rather than having nothing. Even if he is cooked.
I am feeling a bit extreme. this was a very disappointing season. from bevo's revolution, melt in the presser, and his diabolical selections and tactics, god knows I am disappointed with our club. I hope we have a thorough review, but doubt it. much needed improvement next year is required. not sad Dunkley is going btw. sounded like a bit of a prima donna, love for Treloar. good bye and good luck, but we need a much better performance next year and a new coach the year after.

TBH I never considered/saw Dunkley as a 1 club player and had an inkling there could be a North based move because of family. The issues with behaviour and culture fall on the club though.

Required player but building a future around 1-3 players rarely goes well in the long run
I wonder what Dunkley’s issues are with the culture of the club if true. Is it just what happened in the hub, is it training standards or more?

I am starting to think Dunkley might be the toxic one as I struggle to see us having anymore that 2-3 players that are trouble off the field.

In addition, we signed all our other out of Contract players. So he sounds like a lone wolf.

Every club has some problem players and it takes all types of people and personalities to win premierships. Brisbane won’t be the utopia he expects if he wants everyone to be as committed to his job as him.

Martin playing on is beyond ridiculous.
I refuse to believe our brains trust is that crazy !
Would make more sense to give beloved comedy legend Steve Martin a 1 year contract as back up Ruckman.

On field impact would be similar, but would do wonders for our international exposure.
