Yes but it hasn't been the case. I've been posting that ths Saints have had interest throughout. The Suns are the only club that have entertained the idea of getting him during the trade period though, with other clubs interest as a delisted free agent after the dogs work out a settlement.

Not really. Look at the glee that Eddie Maguire looks back on this pivotal moment in player media relations. And the dissipation of what is seen as private and what is fair game. Its been downhill ever since.

We always seem to get fringe defenders. In fact, I'd hazard a guess that more than 50% of our recruits under Bevo have been defenders.

Hamling, Biggs, Suckling, Duryea, Trengove, Keath, Bramble, Jones, JOD, Gardiner (although taken as a fwd), Coffield and now Budarick. I'm probably missing a few.

nb: I'm not suggesting all those players are fringe. Certainly not. But all defenders, majority can probably be considered fringe at the time we got them.

Do you think Matt Kennedy, Adam Treloar, Rory Lobb, Taylor Durea are/were fringe players???
