Yes but it hasn't been the case. I've been posting that ths Saints have had interest throughout. The Suns are the only club that have entertained the idea of getting him during the trade period though, with other clubs interest as a delisted free agent after the dogs work out a settlement.Hasn’t it been consistently reported that it was GC or nothing?
I look at the fact we haven't thrown our hat in the ring for Trac or Merrett says everything we need to know about our Butters pursuit.Does Petracca choosing GC help us in the race for Butts, assuming Butts could have potentially been part of a crows deal?
bloody predictive text...hahaAs Michael Jackson once said It doesn't matter if you're black or white .

He certainly doesn't lack self-confidence.I half remember Humphrey made some snarky comments about the dogs before the draft. Not sure he likes us and given his personality he probably wants a big club.
Did somebody say bidding war!
Mitch Cleary used to be ok but he has turned into a real w***er in the last few years
Very good for footy if QLD becomes a powerhouse clubsbig IF jamarra pulls he’s head in and kicks 50. Academy pumping out guns. AFL would have a stiffy about footy in Queensland
Means more money for the afl too which they’d be happy aboutVery good for footy if QLD becomes a powerhouse clubs
JSOS signed at the Saints after sledging Jason Horne-Francis about the club he played at. The Saints and North aren't overly dissimilar, sometimes people grow up, sometimes the money is worth it etc.I half remember Humphrey made some snarky comments about the dogs before the draft. So we are apparently in the market for a defensive mid (Erasmus, Robertson), Humphries is a defensive mid and a gun, think a young DunkleyI rate him but not sure hes a need considering the cost? He'd basically just take Kennedys role

Not really. Look at the glee that Eddie Maguire looks back on this pivotal moment in player media relations. And the dissipation of what is seen as private and what is fair game. Its been downhill ever since.Footy journalists are reaching new lows. Petracca, JUH and Oliver all followed at airports in the past few days because the journalists just want some junk they can talk about for days.
Would love to see how Cleary would react if he was treated the same way in reverse.
The most SERIOUS of football clubs. Are you talking about the dynasty bound Saints?
Adding Trac and losing Humphrey would be 1 step fwd and 2 steps back.
Silly.
Do you think Matt Kennedy, Adam Treloar, Rory Lobb, Taylor Durea are/were fringe players???We always seem to get fringe defenders. In fact, I'd hazard a guess that more than 50% of our recruits under Bevo have been defenders.
Hamling, Biggs, Suckling, Duryea, Trengove, Keath, Bramble, Jones, JOD, Gardiner (although taken as a fwd), Coffield and now Budarick. I'm probably missing a few.
nb: I'm not suggesting all those players are fringe. Certainly not. But all defenders, majority can probably be considered fringe at the time we got them.
Melbourne will have enough coin to woo him moreThink Humphrey will go to Carlton if he leaves.
Most media peeps are saying it's Geelong or SwansI wonder if Curnow to Suns is back on if Humphries nominates Carlton, then what happens to JUH.
Might be a 3 way with the swansI wonder if Curnow to Suns is back on if Humphries nominates Carlton, then what happens to JUH.
The Carlton coterie groups must offer recruits top shelf opportunities becuase no one in their right mind would join Carlton for football reasons.Think Humphrey will go to Carlton if he leaves.
