Tell you what if Geelong land Curnow, I hope clubs band together and force the league to do what they did to Sydney after they got Franklin. It's not 'clever' it's blatant cheating.

Sydney didn't even do anything wrong to get Franklin. Yes getting rid of COLA was a good decision but them getting a trade ban and I think draft penalties if I remember correctly was just spite from the AFL that Buddy chose Sydney over the brand new Nepo Plastics.

I'm a few months younger than Dale but also look about 20, it's a strange dynamic.

Hopefully Dale's youthfulness, and lack of major injuries, bodes well for his AFL longevity. Replicating Zorko as a 35 year old half back in the 2031 all-australian team would be nice.

Simple fix if you finish Top 4 you're excluded from FA for that year. Stop the top clubs from snatching all the FA
Sick of the Geelong narrative of super well run club. Perennially finish top 4 with home ground advantage so make them attractive to FA which adds class to their squad which helps them make top 4 yet again which propagates the cycle.
The rich get richer and the rest can please themselves

I'll be there and I'll tell you what I'll do. I take a an old hay sack from the the back shed. Find him, stuff the little bastard in it, drag him back to the farm and lock him in the cellar until he whimpers 'Just get me there' and agrees to sign on with the dogs.
