Wolkoe negotiationing with saints . The longer it goes the better our chances of him saying f%ck it i am out.
I mean for more money I at saints ob piously.
Let’s talk more about this…
I can't divulge but its is absolute 100% direct info. No middle man. Not saying he is coming but not agreed new $$ with saints yet and may not either. The longer it goes the better for us

It does sound like he’s disgruntled by the money going to others. It’s gong to need him to kick up a fuss to get traded though which I just can’t see happening.
We can’t lose Butts to North either.

The fact that we waited for the Saints to hand out those insane contracts then went after Wilkie was a very calculated play. We make that move during the season and (a) Wilkie doesn’t know that they’re going to offer Silvagni & Aleer higher salaries than him and (b) the Saints have months to try and sort it through with him, rather than scrambling over a few weeks.

Wilkie is aiming as high as we can. You have to roll the arm over.

Butts is the one that if he’s keen on a move we have to make happen. He will shift O’Donnell away from FB and I think he’ll flourish.

Still need a small/medium defender, though. Hoping there’s one to be shaken loose over the next few weeks.

Would have to be one of the most illogical strategies I’ve ever seen sign star player to short term contract guarantee success or they can move despite having a few decent young players but still needing lots of improvement to then go and pay C and B grade players more then your few A graders and then seem surprised when they’re not happy

That would be a real pain in the ass

They have mostly neglected their bookends over midfielders, but would get a sharper rise if they can get a quality KPD in. They still won’t do too much, but surely we’d have to be in front

Interesting when you look at the profiles of the KPDs we are looking at / most are below average in most categories with any Elite traits/ looks bad when compared to Gardner?

Gambling, drinking, family issues.

(Is what I was told - if this isn’t within the forum rules got no problem deleting).

Given Gardner was VFL team of the year full back and players like Buss and Jones when fit were at least that fit

IIRC he and his partner have ended things and she's moved back to Perth with their kids, so I imagine he really wants to be in Perth.

C4 said a few months ago Archie Perkins was looking at moving. He’s really quick and athletic, and hits the scoreboard, if he were happy to play a Vandermeer/McNeil role he’d be a huge upgrade on them.
The irony of getting a guy Essendon used a first round pick on after refusing to trade that pick for Dunkley.

Perkins is lazy and soft.

If all of Butters, Wilkie, and Butts are gettable this year then we'd have to have a high value player of our own involved in it (as well as lots of picks). Would people consider Sanders or Freijah (or other) in this scenario? I might if it meant landing all three.
I doubt anyone would want Sanders because of Tasmania

Just a quick one on Steven May. Beveridge had a casual chat with a couple ex-demon people about him and after those brief chats decided it wasn't a move the club should pursue.
