Trade hypotheticals

I think he will be a great ruckman, as long as he isn't relied upon to play as a tall forward too often. When he played sole ruck last year he looked a million bucks. Sandi spoiled the party in a way

Would he actually think of leaving or?

If he did play for us, I think we would make him the number 1 ruck resting forward with Maric pinch hitting.

I'm not sure if the club would let him leave. Besides him we don't have a lot if cover for Sandi, especially if we trade Griffen too. He would be the one we trade first.

Unless Clarke was part of a deal to get us into the top 6-7 picks I dont think the club would be open to getting him go. I think he's contracted too but I'm not sure

How's this

Richmond gain - Adam Tomilson, Jeff Gartlett, Giants third rounder

Carlton gain - Jaksch, tigers 4th rounder

GWS gain - Pick 6, pick 10, Tigers second rounder.

Carton massive losers out of that.

Tomilson is much better than Jaksch, swap those players around and maybe include an O'Rourke somewhere and it could work.

So Carlton lose Gartlett, not playing and their first pick.

For a pick 12 who is now playing regularly and a 4th rounder?

Didn't realise Jaksch playing five games this year was 'playing regularly'.

He is in no way worth pick 5-7. No way at all.

Carlton don't do these type of trades. We are happy to win/win but we would prefer getting another Menzel or Cripps in the draft and trade a 2nd/3rd round pick for another Docherty.Everitt has been really good for us and got him for pick 32. These are the trades we will go for.

I tend to think a promising young tall key defender and 40 goal a year small forward is enough to snare Boyd if he nominates Carlton and his manager forces it through. Wouldn't even offer a pick.. if GWS refuse then they can have Boyd for another season unhappy and get him for even cheaper next year

A) is Gibbs you're captain?

B) I think Cotchin is a better player then and Gibbs and is starting to become a good leader.

Based on form this year, Gibbs has been at least equal to Cotchin. Gibbs is basically now either our best or second best midfielder alongside Murphy.

As he is not our captain like Cotchin, a better comparison is Richmond trading their first pick + Martin for Boyd would you do it? Although i guess our first pick is higher and i rate Gibbs slightly higher than Martin.

Lol Watson!

Why does everyone think that GWS will just happily trade for picks? They already have 20+ first round players on their list, for them to continue to improve they're not going to want more of the same. If you want GWS's young guns you're going to have to trade someone worthwhile, picks will just be the sweetener.

Picks = spreads their age profile better

I think someone like Lowden is a better fit for the Tigers

Lowdown and our First for the Tigers First?

Too rich?

I still think there may be something there for them in Lowden

Maybe it's 2nd round upgrade or Lowden and our 2nd for the tigers first

With Lowden the problem is that he's 4th Ruckman sure. But it's the fact he's behind Gunston and Roughy in the forward line too!

Really surprised he's not playing this week!

That's even more ridiculous than Lowden+Hawks first for Tigers first.
