I didn't think it was possible to see a person this stupid, or be lacking such basic comprehension skills.
You and James Hird deserve each other.

I love how every Essendon fan is automatically pro James Hird. Just FYI, I'm not pro or anti Hird. I just accept that Hird will be at the club next year. You and James Hird deserve each other.
While his point was phrased badly, it is valid. And he's not really going about explaining it well or debating well either.I didn't think it was possible to see a person this stupid, or be lacking such basic comprehension skills.
I think the Jaksch + JOR + 4 for 1 is crazy dreamworld stuff.
If the Saints are offered Jaksch and 4 they should take it and run. Still an absolute steal by them.

There is no way we do 1 for 4 and Jaksch.
Jaksch offers very little in the way of value in a trade for pick 1. He is out of contract, has requested a trade out and we have pick 1 in the PSD. If he wants to come to the Saints we will get him for cheap anyway.
Same goes for JOR (assuming he requests a trade out like Jaksch). JOR might be worth a bit more than Jaksch but I still don't think he is worth the downgrade from pick 1.
If we trade pick 1 it will be on our terms. We hold all the cards and we either end up with a trade we like or we take the best kid in the draft. It really doesn't matter, either option is good for us. If a club wants pick 1 they will have to pay for it.
Sounds like GWS could get Danger cheaper than pick 1. Petracca "should" be a quality mid, but there are planty of "proven" quality mids floating around at the moment.
There was nothing in my post that would indicate that Dangerfield would be cheaper than pick 1.
So you think we should give up pick 1 for a lower pick (also not a sure thing) and a virtually unproven player in Jaksch because Petracca isn't a sure thing? That makes no sense.
As i've stated before, i think the Saints are better off with 2 "potential" quality spine players over 1 "potential" mid.
Also think anything over 4+Jaksch GWS could do better elsewhere.
Should be a win/win but if the pelicans beak is bigger than his belly Saints get the 1 mid and GWS find a win elsewhere.
Not really a loss situation anywhere when your talking 1,4,Jaksch and JOR just less of a win/win.
We could get 2 spine players and keep pick 1 if we wanted to. Jaksch brings almost nothing to a pick 1 deal that we couldn't get anyway.
Just an opinion.
Wish nothing but the best for the Saints. Works better for 16 other teams if GWS dont get petracca and the Saints done build a spine of quality![]()
Thoughts on this hypothetical Mega trade??
Beams to Brisbane., lose pick 4, lose second rounder
Dangerfield and JR to Collingwood. Lose Beams and Scharenberg, second rounder
Adelaides first round pick to Richmond, plus Brisbane's second rounder. Lose JR
Scharenberg and Pick 4 to Adelaide, plus Collingwoods second rounder. Lose Dangerfield and first round pick
What are peoples thoughts. I am not even sure this is my preferable scenario.
I am just thinking better for Beams in Brisbane now, Collingwood will want something for Beams rather than through FA. They get a chance to still chase a premiership
Richmond need younger list time to build, JR better chance to win premiership close to home and age peers with Pendles and Cloke etc....
Adelaide get something for Dangerfield instead via FA and south Australian connections to. Also have a chance to build with Scharenberg and pick(4)hoping Durdin!.
The trade scenario assumes Melbourne does not get pick 3 compo for Frawley because draft pick values changes if that compo gets up!
Boomer Harvey is looking for a 2 year deal. North are only offering him 1 year. Any interest?
Saints fans are deluded...
There is no way GWS trade one of their best players plus 4 for P1 where at this point there is still no definitive no 1 draft pick.
He re-signed a few months back.Boomer Harvey is looking for a 2 year deal. North are only offering him 1 year. Any interest?
