Beautiful kick of the football but his been here long enough maybe we can get a young player worthwhile for him. He seems to be timid and time and doesn't get in there. It'll be interesting if he stays or goes this year.

Wouldn't be worth much or wouldn't get much for him.
He is a valuable member of the side, provided he gets more of the footy and gets it in the right spots. i.e not those blo*dy easy cheap kicks in the defensive 50m

Lonie is great when played in the forward line only.The problem is that when he is played in the backline,he gets taken up the ground and out of the play.I believe he plays better when others have to mind him instead of him trying to block opponents.
Believe me if he was played on the wing or half forward,he would kick a bag full,and also deliver the ball with precision,to a leading forward.It's been proved,do not play Lonie in the backline,play him in the middle(wing) or half forward,and the results will be very different.

Lonie isn't a tagger his defiantly an attacking wingman. The team needs to offload to him when his outside 50 so he could slot a goal for us. He would been handy for that to happen in the NAB cup.

Sorry but Lonie is as next to useless in the forward line, sure he can kick some good goals but only when under little pressure. Needs space, and won't get it in the forward line. He can not play infront of the ball. He needs to play behind it. When Lonie plays back, and he gets taken up the ground that is playing into our hands. It is actually putting Lonie in the play, I'd rather have him up the ground than deep in defence.

Positives - Reasonable toe, great kick, can launch 60 metre bombs on the run, OK overhead
Negatives - sleeps with the light on, born without 'defensive' side of brain......
It follows that MM plays him as a midfield tagger or defender!!!!!!
The bloke is an offensive weapon of mass distruction and MM is playing him where his strengths are irrelevant and negatives exposed.
Play him as an attacking wingman or half forward flank running back toward goal, or don't play him at all!!!

We wouldn't get much for Lonie. I think we'd be looking at Lonie and a 3rd round pick to get a 2nd round pick.
It's a shame that one of our best kicks, in a team whose field kicking is so mediocre, is also soft and can't spoil.
