Is Tutt really any better than Garlett? Been on a list for 4 years, only played 7 games last year and doesn't seem to be improving. Liam Jones been on a list for 5 years, played 66 games and kicked 68 goals (10 games for 12 goals in 2014)

Jeffy on the other hand played 9 games for 12 goals in 2014, and 107 games for 183 goals..

Do not want Melksham. Even with the supplements program he's as soft as butter. He does not offer nearly as much defensive pressure as you need in a modern day midfielder and he's a poor user of the ball. Under 70% disposal efficiency and a majority of the possessions he does get are uncontested. We have more than enough poor users. Do not need another one who doesn't make up for it in other ways.

Avoid like the Bubonic Plague and that's without the distinct possibility of an infraction notice.

I know it's only someone putting 1 & 1 together but on the strength of that, I'd hope The Saints do pull the deal off with GWS, for both.

We're dropping down the pecking order every time one of these ideas comes forward.
Next we'll be getting St.Kildas 2nd along with Jaksch for our 1st. Que sera

Ummm thats a great deal given most would agree jeffy has very little trade value atm. Melksham is another midfielder with decent tank, pace and skills to add to the rotation...which we desperately need

some people have gone nuts here, we need depth badly and picking up Tutt and Jones would be great. Just because a player spends time in the VFL doesn't mean it is his fault all the time. Maybe the coaching isn't that crash hot either.

Last year we didn't do anything for the sake of depth with the exception of rookie-ing Wood but even there, I would consider it more of a need given our lack of ruck stocks.

Given we may just move on up to 12 players this year some holes will need to be filled.
Jones is worthy of chance if he's cheap enough as he does potentially fit a need and the same may be said for Tutt, given his pace.
We just don't want to take too many chances with those that have already had plenty of chances.

Well, GWS don't have a need for any more tall forwards in Wright & McCartin so who knows.

Given they were so spoiled from day 1, nothing would surprise and another Pick #1 may be just what they want, to be seen to be relevant.

GWS have had at least the top 2 picks for the last three years.

Picks #10+ are chicken feed for these guys and they have so much depth (as opposed to GC) that anything is possible from them.

I actually like what im seeing atm...i see it as similar moneyball trades like everitt and docherty last year.

Jones and tutt will come cheap and fill needs...key forward and small forward.

Melksham is certainly better than what i expected t get for garlett...cmon guuys melksham has shown some abiloty at afl level and again adds to the midfield roatations, decent talent...much better than a shit third rounder.

Lets say jones, tutt and melksham for third rounder, fourth rounder amd garlett. Thats a win imo

Absolutely agree that we should be bidding for Moore. Make Collingwood cough up. He'll be a quality player young Moore.

Personally really don't want Tutt and Jones. They are the exact type of players Bulldogs need and couldn't get a game there. also with so many well paid players coming off the books next year I would much preferr the club to save an extra 250k plus that would be spent on Jones and Tutt and use it to go after a big name or two next year
(Hopefully I'm as wrong about them as I was with Everitt last year)
