Brownlow Medallist
Conca is 6 years in and has barely played any footy in the past 2 years. Form is well down. His value would be at rock bottom, I can't see Richmond wrangling a pick 20 or a Jonas for him.

Forgive my ignorance (haven't seen a whole lot of Nankervis)
But why would give up either for him, looking at his stats in afl and neafl, games played and age, he doesn't seem to be that quality of a player that we would trade that much for?
I feel we'd be over paying by doing that.I thought he played pretty well against us (Although we were toilet) and in the Prelim of the NEAFL last week he had 24 disposals, 20 hitouts, 6 marks and 2 goals. He's only 22 years old. I think a direct swap for Broadbent is a good trade.

Gun to your head. Who do you trade for Nankervis. Young or Broadbent?
Hombsch, Clurey, Pittard, DBJ there already. Krak there if he gets re-signed. Impey if we keep using him there. Howard with probably more potential and less tribunaliness*. Time to let go if he has any currency..Jonas is a hard-nosed defender I do not want to lose. period
I rate Broadbent as a 2nd rounder and O'Shea as a 3rd. Lobbe somewhere in between.Maybe I am overrating our own players but I think we can get a better deal for Broadbent than that
Sorry for the intrusion however i posted this on our board and the lions as something i had heard and thought i would guage the interest here. The trade i heard was being discussed was as follows:
Port: Lose Jonas, Gain Conca
Lions: Lose 2nd Round Pick (20 or so), gain Jonas
Tigers: Lose Conca, gain pick 20
Thoughts?
I feel we'd be over paying by doing that.
Based off what I read on the trade boards, Sydney fans are willing to give him away for only a 3rd rounder. Which makes it an even better deal than trading Broadbent.Really? I reckon a decent young backup ruckman with reasonable upside is worth a shit load more than a decent dime a dozen half back flanker with zero upside.
Why didn't you guys tell me that hamish was on such a monster contract the other day?!
That changes everything!
No way any club- including gws and gc will go near him with a 2.4-2.8 million dollar price tag attached!
Poor hamish must have just offered himself up as trade bait because he feels guilty!
You guys cant put any decent new players around him because he's maxing out your cap.
Geez, forget trading him- your best offer will be a 2nd or 3rd rounder unless you agree to pay half his contract at his new club.
Your best bet is using his guilt to get him to voluntarily renegotiate his contract down 200k p/a
If only random people posting on an interweb forum were in charge of the Swan's list management.Based off what I read on the trade boards, Sydney fans are willing to give him away for only 3rd rounder. .......

Broadbent then daylight....Gun to your head. Who do you trade for Nankervis. Young or Broadbent?
The main reason they say only a 3rd rounder is because they say swans are good traders and wouldn't get in the way of Nankervis getting more game time at another club.If only random people posting on an interweb forum were in charge of the Swan's list management.![]()
