With Collingwood getting no compo or Nathan Brown, we certainly wont be getting any for S. Mitchell Brown (S for Spud).

Collingwood got no compo for their Brown because they had grabbed Mayne (LOL) & Wells as FA. Any compo would have been balanced out by those 2.

But anyway, the UFA/RFA periods have finished. The only way we get rid of our Brown is via trade or delist him and he becomes a DFA.

EDIT: What the others said. Embers just got destroyed with a barrage of corrections.

Is Titch or Jager known for their speed?
Was more getting at contested ability. Priddis and Mitchell are similar in that they rely a lot on sidesteps and footwork to make space. Against a team that floods the contest that becomes a lot harder to do. Mitchell and JOM aren't fast but they have more to them. S Mitchell will bring a lot don't get me wrong and im not against it but having both priddis and Mitchell in the same midfield is dangerous. Not saying it won't work but it's risky and we're going to need to find a plan to combat the mauling teams.

Get a grip ? Barras has played a handful of games he is a good average player at best so far so is Jono Marsh ..........What did you get Barras for pick 70 something and we got Marsh at pick 60 something Both kp players one is heavier than the other
Years yet if they become AA.........I think you better a grip on reality

Put your teeth in, find a mirror and have a real good look at yourself!

We already have Sheed, Redden, Priddis and now Mitchell. He isn't adding materially to what we already have.

Harley Bennell, O'Meara etc are the highly skilled inside/outside types we need IMO.

Mitchell isn't highly skilled?

Apart from his age he fits a need.

If we retain pick 12 and land a young bull to learn from him plus Vardy + Waterman we will have done good in trade week and the draft.

Plus we have players like Allen, Mutimer, Parto, Snadden, Duggan, Nelson and Cole who are still very young and some continued development we still have a young side who will benefit greatly from a player like Mitchell.

Indeed - but I quoted him already.

Mitchell is an amazing grab, but he has 1, perhaps 2 years left.

I was more thinking someone in the 23/24 age group.

Mitchell is inside/outside, he's just not quick

Let him roam around loose in the backline and he will destroy your zone

We haven't got the cap space , Hawthorn are paying some of Mitchells wage ......amazingly unbelieveable deal for us , helped the midfield hopefully immediately .....saved our salary cap and allows us to go to the draft in a good strong draft .

JOM was rapid before the injury speed is certainly not an issue with him

If the rumours of emac getting $600k+ are true - salary dump the bloke

I love ezy - and would only want to lose him if it meant filling an absolute need - midfield class (and lots more of it) is exactly what we need.

FWIW - i'd rather 1 year from Sam Mitchell than 3 years from Jordan Lewis
