Imagine if Mackenzie can get back to his best.

Gov to CHF. Darling third tall. Mitchell in the middle
Yeah I kind of had this thought this morning.

I was expecting Mackenzie to replace Gov and let him go forward this year. Didn't happen obviously.

We've never tried Barrass + Mackenzie + Schofield with McGovern forward.

Mackenzie just looked so out of touch, hopefully another preseason and he'll come good again.

Just no. Dogs have shown you only need two key backs at most. Shep as third tall is fine, especially if have McGovern to go back if required. Runners, runners and more runners.

Pickering said yesterday that we have cap issues. I think it was him. It was on tradio in regards to us not offering brown a new contract. Not sure if it was mentioned. Not that surprising I suppose.
Pickering covering his butt for his shoddy work this off season re Brown. Had a two year deal on the table but held out thinking he could get more. Then when it backfires it is due to the Eagles cap issues and not his huberis.

At some point these WAGs need to realise they are just a sideshow to the player. If the player goes to WA or SA, she follows or he finds another. It's not about her.
So do we call it the "Chris Judd Pussy Whip" test to be introduced at the Combine?

Don't disagree but we had three talls during the entire season this year and can't see it changing

Is it a very good deal? I guess for Melbourne they need players in that age bracket more than kids and could do with some more grunt in the back line.

But Hibberd is pretty meh. I guess I haven't seen him play for ages.

Maybe just a "Good" deal but i would happy if i was the Demon's, Only 26 and should be a really good fit in what they are building

I'm not trading Ezy unless we get a really really good deal. Take the punt that he can get back to his best and we have a seriously different side. Had a horrid year touch wise and clearly struggled to adapt with the new game plan but coming back from Knee Reco as a key position player isn't easy.

Take the risk and see what he can produce and if it doesn't work and costs us his trade value then so be it, but sometimes it's better to back guys who are proven performers than move them on so we can get a "what if"

Nic Nat back end of August.....
There is no given that Nic will get back to where he was .. ever. Took Lecras over 12 months to get back to any of his previous form. Emac still yet to get anything like near his best. I think we should be looking to the future without Nic. We have been reliant on him for far too long.

Very pleased that we only parted with a 4th rounder for Vardy.

Excellent work, now he needs to stay on park... that is the big test.
Deal hasn't been done yet big fella

4th rounder is thought to be the deal but still needs to be confirmed

Gain Mitchell, lose token picks, lose fourth rounder for Vardy (if that happens) take first and second pick to draft, gain Waterman with third rounder.

Pretty good business.

So assuming we're done after Vardy for 72 we should have 12 and 34 as live picks. How many list spots did we have free? One left after this? So PSD?

Still not against swapping 12 for two of GC's picks or trading out Masten for pick ~25.

Can Vardy play as a CHF who is ruck relief for Lycett?

If so i would be happy to trade out Emac for a a decent second rounder and keep Gov down back.

Could go along way to keeping Darling as a 3rd tall instead of CHF.

Darling Vardy Mid
Cripps/Lecra JK Crumber

Could go ALONG way to fixing our forward line!
