Heard nothing about Marsh, have to assume he's staying put. Would be great if we could swap him for Mackenzie imo.

Not sure if srs

If so give yourself an uppercut

inb4 we get reamed next year when Emac leaves through free agency after spending the year in the wafl again

Will get a 2nd round compo pick if he does which may well be better than anything we were offered this trade period

And there's a chance he returns to close to his best form giving us great flexibility with our talls and maintains our depth which should never be under rated

Aaron Black for 92 , Geelong had a nett win of 29 draft spots .when compared to Kersten ....Black has talent just gone bad the last two years , new environment in Geelong might help Black who is from Eaton / Bunbury should like Geelong more then Melbourne .

Should've added with a decent draft pick coming the other way (eg Pies 2nd rounder), but yes serious.

I think the game has gone by him and won't be the same for us. Controversial opinion I know.

Surprised we got Vardy for so cheap. Hopefully he gets his wrist injury sorted.

The pic of Vardy on our FB looks legit and must have been taken last week when he did his medical. Funny how it took till today to get the deal done.

Would like to see us pinch another second rounder

How you can view these players as ‘list cloggers’ and the trades as not wins for Freo is mind boggling.
I'm not doubting their potential. All of the players that Freo have traded for could be brilliant. But that is just it: 'could'. What I am doubting is the perception of low risk, and that the three mentioned all come with a degree of risk. Dangerfield was a low risk trade - limited injury history, high performance. Likewise Jonathon Giles was also low risk (albeit low reward). Both players came to their respective clubs as advertised.

But with Bennell, Kersten and McCarthy there is lot of unknowns circling them, and that right there, the unknowns, the calf injuries, the drug history, the limited time dealing with the best defenders in the country, the lack of impact whilst playing in a top side, that's all risk. I'd argue Kersten is probably the lowest risk, but he was also the cheapest, and likely the lowest reward, much like our Vardy trade.

Pity we couldn't get another quality mid but it's a solid trade period.

Agree, would of been nice to get another one but they are hard to get.
Mitchell hopefully will help a lot and then after a year feed Simpson the news that we need more quality mids, we all know it but clearly the club now and over the last 6 years has been reluctant to do much about it.

Yep.

Conner's also confirming Emac will not be leaving WCE.
I happy with that hopeffully he gets back to near aa form which will give depth and a few options now a small crummer that is ready to go and another midfielder
Plough has just given west coast an A for thier trade period

"Hey guys does anyone want to give me a second round pick real quick for Jaeger?

Guys?

UH GUYS???????????"

The problem with the Suns is Cochrane has shown Gold Coast is willing and able to trade both picks and players. It's nothing more than success driven jealousy and personal emotion interfering with this move which some people may consider a complete lack of professionalism on Cochrane's behalf. Mind you, that all changes if Gold Coast accepts a considerably better deal elsewhere and then Cochrane looks like a genius.
Not sure about that. How many of their key guys (guys they wanted to keep) have they traded away for unders? The got the price they wanted for Bennell and Prestia, hence them standing firm on JOM.
