Next year mate...Slightly disappointed we didn't pick up Adams. I'd assume Dogs wanted more than we'd be prepared to give up, if there was any discussion at all.

I'm not saying he's necessarily done the right thing but he's gone all in with this list. It's his 4th year as coach and early days he had the excuse that he inherited the list so could only work with what he had.
That excuse is gone, he's had the opportunity to make assessments of each players ability and to make changes accordingly. He's stayed with this group so if they serve up the same heartless crap they did at times this year then he deserves to be judged harshly for it

"well it's not like we have any youngsters running around in the WAFL who can replace them"Would be good if LeCras and Masten didn't appear on the team sheet in Round 1 but that's not going to happen.

It might. Marsden could pull his hammy winning the time trial? Lecras could twist his ankle running into an open goal in a nab scratch match.Would be good if LeCras and Masten didn't appear on the team sheet in Round 1 but that's not going to happen.
When does Tunbridge's contract run out? Did we re-sign him?
Please stop it. It's driving me batshit crazy. Extreme spelling/grammar OCD.It might. Marsden could pull his hammy winning the time trial? Lecras could twist his ankle running into an open goal in a nab scratch match.
Not to be a smart arse, but Simpson "backed the group to bounce back" after each shitty loss and unconvincing win in 2016.
Meanwhile we dropped our pants(Kyle) and got spanked in the first week of the finals, at home. Worst display of heart i've seen in some time.
The biggest change to this team shouldn't have to come from new personnel like Mitchell, it should be among the players themselves. Some heart, mongrel pride in the jumper would be a start. Also new on field leaders have to emerge. That's a must. Coaches also need to continue developing properly.
In short, i agree with you Keys, just had to point this out.

I would have rather he were delisted. Guys that age should be making more of an impact or GTFO.Not sure, Is he eligible for round 1 or has he served his 3 games?
Ah right - I thought he was on the main list for some reason. Jolly good. He's a rookie so he's year by year. Wasn't announced in the delistings with Colledge etc so I'm guessing he'll get another year on the rookie list
For all their tough talk, the Gold Coast capitulated a bit on JOM. Made Hawks sweat on the time but got well under. Should have put the foot down and sent him to PSD, with the bonus of Hawthorn having cleared Mitchell and Lewis for nothing.
Read the contributing conversations that lead to that response.Huh? With respect, that is not simple economics at all. What you're suggesting is that the buyer always has the power, because no matter what price the seller sets they can lowball them and the seller has no choice but to agree to the price, because their demands are inconsequential. What you're not taking into account is supply. What you're suggesting may work in Phuket when your're haggling about a pair of knock off Nike's which are, literrally a dime a dozen, but try applying that 'simple economic' theory to something a little more valuable and scarce, say a drug to cure cancer, or a former No. 1 draft pick who the buyer is clearly after, and see how that goes. The Hawks can't just walk over to the Lions table and offer them the same deal for a JOM can they, or to the Tigers table?
In the case of scarcity of supply the seller very much has the balance of power and it goes a little bit like the JOM trade is going right now.

On a side note, anyone think the Hawks Blues pick swap is a bit fishy?
Why the **** do Carlton do that trade?
So in short..Simpson is well aware of the capabilities of the group. The natural improvement of the kids, a better season out of the 2 recruits from last year and the addition of Mitchell should see WC around the mark again as the midfield will be much stronger.
Despite all the trading possibilities fans see, the reality is often different.
A clubs best chance is development of youth & WC have preserved their draft this year.

Keep Tunners on the Rookie list, but agree on dropping McInnes there.I really hope no one bids on waterman, getting him @106 would be a great off season.
Brown should / will be delisted. I wouldnt mind dropping mcinnes to rookie list and delisting tunbridge also.
get 4/5 picks in main draft (pic 120 will end up being around 75 im guessing) and 2/3 in rookie draft.
not interested in any of the delisted free agents, rather take a risk on a speculative kid
