Ok, so it's Trade Week Eve, and everyone is going nuts about rumours of trades and player movement during this fun little week.

I just though if anyone has a prediction or two as to what they think will happen by Friday 2pm, regarding this club or another, please, enlighten us.

The only prediction I really think might come true is the Jolly case.

So;

Prediction;

Darren Jolly to Collingwood
Sydney Get Pick 14 and our 3rd round pick (48?)

Any others?

Collingwood to lose half its list if the rumours are true.
In all seriousness, if Dawes and Wellingham are still there at the end of the week and we land a big name or two, ill be happy:D.
Pick 14 is about all the 'youth' that i want to see gone.

we dont need to pay any more than pick 14 for jolly in my view. If we give up our first rounder we still need to keep a position in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
Hopefully we can find new homes for stanley and cook. If we can get a 3rd round choice for either i'll be pleased, although a couple of corrie like deals are on the cards for both.

Yeh i reckon Sydney wil accept pick 14 straight up for Jolly.
Then who knows whats gonna happen with the Fevola thing, one minute i looks the good then it doesn't so we will have to wait.
LOL its like waiting for christmas morning when i was young. :)

We'll get Staker for pick 30 and that's it.

We'll then finish 4th again next year and everyone will go "see our kids are developing" not realising that we're completely stagnating, and not want to give up any young "stars" to get actual stars

My prediction is that I will definitely not listen to an Ace of Base album.

Anything else seems possible.

I'm going out on a limb and predicting one surprise/reasonably big name player will leave in a trade for another player or pick. (Leon, Fraser, Medders, Wellers, Dawes?).

MM's own personal Premiership clock is ticking away and I sense a short term shot at addressing at least one area of weakness as being in the mix this coming week. We need a genuine ruckman, a replacement for the ageing Presti at FB and a genuine tall, reliable goal kicker so Jolly, Fev and Lake will all be seriously considered before being dismissed out of hand.

Doubt we will go for Bourgoyne as we have a promising mid-field emerging with Pendles, Mr. Beams and Sidey complimenting Swanny.

Word is we have had a very big dip at Lake, he is holding out for a better offer from the Dogs and would prefer to stay there but, their offer is significantly below his demands at the moment.

Is that just for this week?

Or have you finally given up on good old Ace of Base, and if so, why, their music is some of the all time greatest ever composed.:p

I'm going cold turkey on them.

I think we should inquire about Thorp for Fraser.

Both have injury clouds. If Jolly is landed Fraser needs a home and Hawthorn will need a ruckman.

I agree, we will most likely lose atleast 1 of those youve mentioned. Most likely Fraser, but possibly Dawes depending on how the Fev scenario unfolds.
I personally dont think Burgoyne is worth the pursuit. Hawthorn are being more than fair with their trade options and Port arent budging.
Staker should also be off our radar. Hell end up spending most of the year in the VFL if he comes over and would be a waste of a draft pick.

Well Matty Thompson on SEN just said that apparently Hawthorn could be going to offer Jolly a four year deal after the announcement of Robert Campbells retirement last night.

Does anyone else get the feeling we might miss out on both Fev and Jolly?

Charman would be a better fit at Hawthorn. Seems like the Hawks are throwing offers at anyone that will listen.

I think the fact that Fraser did not show at the B&F pretty much implies that he is gone next year.. maybe to Richmond or Hawks.

With Bryan expected to be delisted then we are certain to be getting a ruckman come in. Whether it is Jolly, Seaby.. Who knows.
But we will get one..

I get the feeling that we are not going to sign anyone big but will probably obtain one or two mid range list players ala staker, etc, etc.

I reckon we might get Jolly. I also can see Fraser not being at the pies next year. anyone know why he didnt attend the copeland? I really hope we go for Fev. We done need a forward.

I heard on SEN that Fraser didn't attend because he just had knee surgery and he was on crutches so they thouight it was better for him to stay home.

i have a feeling jolly and daniel harris will be at the pies next year.

Would love Harris... we should have got him last year.. but maybe better now his currency wouldve fallen even more. Hell be a good fit for the pies

there was an article in the paper saying that he had avoided knee surgery and that they were gona put him through a program of quad strengthening to take pressure off his knee...

I would love Luke Ball and Shane Tuck... Both inside mids. If we miss out of Fev we've gotta go for Ball. Does anyone really think the pies would get rid of Fraser? Surely if we land Jolly (no.1 ruckman) Fraser wouldnt play a No. 2 then what of Wood and Chris Bryan? I like Bear as a forward.

Maybe carlton might take him back for Fev.. heehee
