Collingwood have given up pick 25 for Marty Clarke (who has been out of the AFL game for 2 years now) and Jamie Elliott.

and they want us to trade Jack Gunston who is a key position player to them for pick 24 and some player outside their best 22.

Fair enough, take your word for it but what would you prefer - Jack Gunston or Jamie Elliot?

I didn't rate Marty Clarke when he played the first time, very suspect kick and timid handball. His only real assess was his pace - in the AFL at the moment, that's a dime a dozen.

In this draft, Gunna is a top 10 pick, Elliot I have from 30-50. Clark has value, especially if he's fit. Still young too.

That said, it's true, people on BF underrate Gunna's worth.

What confuses me is Richmond trades #14 to GWS to get Morris
But wont give 15 to us for Maric I follow WESTIES and Morris is a soldier on
the field (take no prisoner`s) Maric is a harden R/Man with a little of bit of AFL
experience surely Maric would have to be rated at # 15 and Morris at #37
To me all clubs over rate their players when OFF LOADING them F^%$K EM
keep Maric and send Gunston to G/Coast so his family have to travel further

They got Morris for nothing. They have dropped down the order by one pick and GWS will be unlikely to want the same player at that pick that Richmond did.

Richmond didn't really trade pick 14. They got Morris for nothing really. They just sacrificed one spot 14>15 to get him. The difference between 14 and 15 would be very little.

Why? Thats not what they gave up. They only gave up 1 spot in the draft. Im sure they would value Maric higher.

Probably not UTG. Just like you guys we would be very cautious when it comes to trading our compo pick and we simply don't value Pick 15 that much. BTW I wouldn't worry about losing your 1st rounder for Maric, AFC are just posturing ATM as are Ric. I'm confident that a deal that benefits both parties will be agreed upon. Appreciate your input though, your one of the better opposition posters to grace our humble board.

I have suggested on our board pick 15 and Connors or Post for Maric and compo, but given I have been accuse of sleeping with Maric I don't expect much support

Also, with respect, the Crows may not finish top 4 next year so the Davis comp is pretty valuable. Certainly more so than the Bock compo (band 3)

I think he will stay with you if a trade cannot be reached this week, as he really does love it there and a new coach could surely map out an enticing role for him. PSD is most unlikely

Anyway, thanks and be well. This week is kinda big for us Tigers so excuse others, within reason, who get a tad animated

Unless the Crows exceed all expectation in 2012 the Davis compo will be higher than pick 15 next year in a better draft. IMO pick 15 wouldn't be enough to buy the Davis compo by itself.

Perhaps your recruiters could offer 15 + Bock compo for Maric and Davis compo. Would be a fairer deal. Maric for 15 and compo upgrade.

The only way I can see us moving on our Davis compo pick, is if it lands us a pick in the mini-draft.

I think we will move it if it gives us a good young players in return. No one thought we would trade Bock compo pick last year until trade week and David Noble all but confirmed we are open to trading it.

I would be surprised if we keep the pick to be honest. I think we will try trading it for a mini draft pick and if that fails we will trade it for a good young players in the 21-24 age bracket.

In terms of on field performance, I think we will surprise a lot of people next year. We won't be as bad as people are predicting. We have a lot of players that can make a drastic improvement in one pre-season. There is a lot of upside in a lot of our players and with a new coach and a fresh new approach to the game and different game style, I think we will be a lot better than people think.

My main concern is depth, if we lose players and replace them with draft picks only and then cop injuries we will be stuffed.

Interesting that Terry Wallace has just tweeted the Demons and the Crows are right in the mix for O'Meara.
