I suppose you could call today the bring back the biff training run.
First up we had the McVeigh v Houli scuffle (as reported on the main board)where a few jumper punch's where thrown and players had to seperate them. Didnt seem to worry the coaching staff as Hickmott's coment was it was good to see some pasion and comitment in their work
The we had Rama testing out what young Dempsey was made off giving him a good wack behind the ears after the two where involved in a strong tackle.
Of course it wouldnt be training without Gus having a nigle with someone. This time it was Reimers and Gus having a bit of a wrestle. The only thing that was missing was Lucas v Slattery version 4
Anyway training progressed at its usual rate. Pretty sharp and running like a well oiled machine . Mod group was Gumby , Watson , Winderlich , Hocking ,Daniher , Williams and Neagle. Hocking and Winderlich did do some of the clearance drills later on during training.
Johns and Big Dog head a pretty big clash during a marking drill at one stage which resulted in both of them calling it a day but neither look to have come up with an injury as it was close to the end of training.
The not so good news was with Neagle. For the first time this year he was sporting the footy boots but he didnt do a lot. Did a few hanballs , walked around a bit . Had some shots at goal and then towards the end of training took the boots off , spoke to the medical staff and limped off the ground. At this rate he will have no chance of playing any senior footy in the first half of the year and will be struggling to be ready for Bendigo early in the season.
Anyway thats about it. Time to get into holiday mode
Next report from me will be probably in a couple of weeks.
