thank you!Posted in the injury thread and meant to post it here. Any signs of Nick Daicos running again today? His transition into lateral movement and into drills ahead of a semi/prelim is all care about at this point.
Lateral movement for a tibial plateau fracture should be as much of a formality as running faster. The knee isn’t unstable, so it’s just a matter of gradually putting more on his plate, and constantly checking it’s not increasing his soreness.
Will he be a big risk of reinjury if he returns to play (or training) and he has a knee-on-knee or some other sort of direct impact? Or do we suspect his bone will be fairly well healed and right now it's all about retaining strength and conditioning?

Once he returns, he’s the same risk of injury from a direct collision/blow as everyone else.

Any news on when the boys do their first training again? Wondering how we’ll manage the week off again and the disadvantage that seems to be since the pre finals bye
Thanks. Hopefully another weekend session. I’d love to go watch againMaybe Monday, wed and either Friday or sometime on the weekend.

Interesting Murley changed teams. I wrote him off a while ago but I get this feeling we might keep him on one more year. I'd choose him over Richards for sure.It was mostly bruise free footy to begin with. It was a bit more compeitive later on. But you'd often find one player of ours playing for the saints. Harrison. Murley. Bianco were the ones. The saints were very happy with Harrison when he got picked, he was just killing them with his pace.
Draper. Allan. Macrae in the midfield were really good.
Noble had this great contest late in the match sim, did some good things.
Kreuger really competed and did very well.
Ryan did some good things, was nice to see him back.
Ruscoe and Bianco did what they tend to do. Very workmen like.
Frampton was okay.
Harrison was very impressive early.
Begg rucked all morning. Steene was up forward then hurt his ankle or leg during a contest. Didn't come back on, but hopefully just minor.
Carmichael or Dean didn't play. They did a running session earlier this morning though.
Nick was around supporting the boys.
Reef, DC came through and hung out at the front.
There was no Ginni. Thought he might play given he only played 10 mins thurs, but guess not. They probably just had him do extra running instead.
I liked what I saw when HH had his time in the seniors. He looked at home at that level.Training is tomorrow 3:30
Tuesday and Friday 9:30
Probably light session tomorrow, main session tuesday then treat Friday's session like a game.
I also think HH will explode next year. He like Ginni is the type not to get huge numbers at the lower level, but just explode at senior level. I think HH will be like this soon enough, he looked comfortable from the get go. But since his senior games, his numbers at VFL level are higher, and he is getting involved a lot more as he is getting more midfield time.
