Not sure why, but there was no training this morning.
When I arrived, the rehab group was doing a session, then they went inside.

Then about 10am they all were seen crossing the road heading toward the G. A friend of mine came across Richards, who said they werent training, but on Friday they will.
Maybe they're managing training loads?

Good to mix it up a bit.

Credit to the coaching and medico and fitness guys as the injury list thins as we start to return to a stronger squad. Also to the players for keep on racking up the wins after losing key personnel at such a rate. It look pretty dire early on but the whole club has done extremely well.

This arrived today.. but it may have to wait -- Until I get a SD card lol But might be able to take to to Perth next week

Someone better warn Lippa to keep his blinds closed.

Just do not show it to security when you go to Optus stadium in Perth,I also have a Canon digital camera and I made a mistake of showing it to security at the 2020 GF in Brisbane. I had a long lense on it and they said I could not bring into the ground I asked why and they said read the fine print and I was not allowed in with that lense on it.Well I said I paid 750 for these 2 tickets and I had been allowed in the Gabba before and also down at GCS they were not interested in that only this time.

I asked them if they could put it in a secure place until after the game and they got on the walkie talkie and then refused,I was so angry then they said if I keep on you won,t get in at all. well my partner said leave it now we will see if we can find someone to look after it for us.

Well as luck would have it I went out onto Vulture st and we were looking around and my Girl started speaking to a Lady who had an advertising agency there and was having a little get together with friends for the football so we left it with her.

After we went to pick it and she introduced to her husband it turned out his soccer team was own beloved Palace and he was an Italian bloke who born less than 3 mls from where I was so I came 12000 mls to meet a fellow Palace fan, small world.

Training: Friday May 26th. Round 11.

Finally a training session we can dig into. Haha. Bit cool this morning, but with the sun in and out, it started to warm up eventually. Just the wind is the thing that can bring on the chill effect of the morning.

As for the session, nobody was absent that I can recall.

Rehab group:

Lippa: Did everything but maatch sim, which he wasn't happy with. He just wants to get involved, but they ran him to the ground. When he comes back, there will be no question on his fitness, that's for sure.
Mcstay: Was in and out of the splint duing his session running. He can definitely run without it now. So I think we'll slowly see that get removed by next week.
Frampton: Looks pretty right to go. Him and Richards did some hill climbing on the other side of the fence.
Howe: Joined in some drills, but then mostly did some running. No real update here.
Richards: Like Frampton, did some hill climbing, but also did a fair bit of drills.
Dean: Did some exercises for his feet, as he prepares to start running soon.

They got to work on certain areas today.

Starting off with the warm up, and sprints, the squad then did a bit of kick mark from D50 through to the other side of the ground. Some hit their targets. Some didn't, but nothing is perfect.

Being split up into different groups as they worked through the contest work around ruck/mids stoppage work also. This only went for a few minutes before they got called in the middle, and it was time for some match sim.

Teams as were as follows:

Black:

  • JDG
  • IQ
  • Maynard
  • Elliott
  • JDaicos
  • Noble
  • Pendles
  • Adams
  • Cameron
  • Sidebottom
  • Hill
  • Crisp
  • Moore
  • Ginni
  • NDaicos
  • Harrison
  • Johnson
  • Checkers
  • Cox (then changed to white)

White

  • Mitchell
  • Bianco
  • Wilson
  • Kreuger
  • Allan
  • Macrae
  • Draper
  • Kelly
  • Ruscoe
  • Ryan
  • Reef
  • Murley
  • Murphy
  • Beau
  • WHE
  • Markov
  • Begg
  • Oscar
  • Carmy

A forward line of Checkers. Cameron. Elliott. Ginni. Harrison and Hill. Macrae starting half forward, alongside Beau. Murley. Reef. Begg. Wilson

With Nick, Adams, De Goey v Drsper, Carmichael and Mitchell.
Kelly, WHE on wings v Josh D & Sidey

There was a period were all the boys went inside to debrief for instructions, but Jamie was on the ground doing some running by himself. Not sure what is up with that, or if there is something to it.

Once the match sim was finished, they split up and did individual things.
The talls did a fight/contest drill.
Some forwards did some goal kicking
The mids just floated through the middle of the ground.

Slowly they started to leave the ground while the presser was happening. Sidey took a lot of time to take photos and signatures with fans along the barrier of the ground.
A few others stopped by for the fans as well, lots of kids about.

It was 15-20 mins post training, everyone had gone inside. No coaches. No players except Ginni who had about 5-6 footys on the ground, as he kept doing his goal kicking. There was a bunch of kids in the goal square that were helping him out, kicking them out to him.
