Think this goes a fair way to explaining why we were so frustrated with team selection under Bucks!

I have far more confidence on the current selection committee picking a team that plays to our strengths.

FWIW - i wasn't on the Frampton bandwagon....but as long as he does not get out marked....thats a win. Doesn't matter how many goals he kicks, as long as when he's in the pack / contest....they don't get a clean mark. That was McStay's one wood and it largely went unnoticed.

So Fly hasn't exactly given us what role Billy plays except he's a like for like, for mine he won't be a lead up forward coz he isn't.

Good money he'll do a glove role on Andrews, won't be leading out to draw Andrews to give space to Checkers coz Andrews won't fall for it.

Just compete against him and lock him out of the game, don't give him any room, I also suspect that unless Bris can force us down the line it's unlikely we'll be bombing it i50.

That comes down to whether or not we can get our run game going, given we likely won't getting suffocated like we did against gws, or at least not the same intensity.

If he plucks a couple against Harris, well that's a bonus, might even kick a couple (hope so).

That is exactly why Bill was chosen. To keep Andrews occupied. And to help in ruck/defence if/when required. He wasn't picked to be the full forward & kick a bag.

Plan A seems likely to be him trying to negate Andrews, as has been discussed. I'm not convinced he can do that well, but with McStay & Ash J out...
Also, McInerney worries me, so having another ruck option to run him around could help.

Our 3 big boys need to do a tag team on McInerney and wear him down.
Who can forget how he pantsed McStay because Cox & Cameron were out injured.
