Papers coming out saying Alexis is going to get hijacked by United means we're in the final stages.

When we start to hear how much damage he is doing in the dressing room the deal is done.
Eh those rumours came out yesterday though. In that time you've "included" Sterling and had a separate 50m bid rejected.

This deal ain't happening.

I'll be going all

on them.

If Liverpool get VVD and Ox and keep Coutinho they would have spent close to £200m this summer with no significant outgoings.

Can't see that happening.

Will recoup approx. £35-40m from the sales of Lucas, Wisdom, Stewart and Sakho.

Made a £15m net profit from transfers last season.

Huge increase in spending across the league this summer on the back of the latest TV deal.

It's not impossible.

If both Ox and Lemar come in then yeah I'd be surprised if we didn't sell Coutinho.

Should be doable when our back 5 costs less than Kyle Walker :) :)

Yep. Been a long time since we've spent a significant amount of money without funding it from players sales. We are due for a splurge !!

I'd spend £50m just to make sure that Moreno and Lovren weren't part of our back 5.

But what we spend on our players isn't really relevant to Liverpool.

Another big flaw in FFP is that previous transfer savings don't count towards that years FFP. I think you should be able to bring it forward.

FWIW I don't think you would have a problem with FFP if you spend £200m, I just don't see that it would happen under the current management/ownership.

Although it would be fun to see all those media types slagging us for ruining football, decide that Liverpool spending more is good for football. Until we buy Alexis and then it will be bad again.
