He moves clubs every 6-12 months it seems

How did he end back up in the PL I'll never know though, pretty sure he was playing for some Turkish minnow recently.

Speaking of say 2010, apparently we might pick up Rossi on a free. How good would've Llorente and Rossi had been back then?

Should have a crack at every half decent non Barca/RM La Liga striker from back then

Already ticked Soldado (played for RM but did nothing there) and Llorente off

Need to get now

Forlan
Aguero
Negredo
Rossi
And Luis Fabiano

Wowee, might play FIFA11 for them nostalgic feels
Was it you that predicted Belotti would be a one season wonder (I think it was)? Even though his career is far from over, he hasn’t showed signs that he will back up that great season he had.
Belotti might end up being more Destro/Borini than Immobile, but wait and see on him

Reckon he's just a classic Italian striker who should stay in that league.
So Pool are signing Forrest from Celtic for 12m?

I actually don't mind that deal, he's a decent player who I think will do well at the next level.
Has he finally had a breakout season? He'd be late twenties now wouldn't he be?

Would've thought a midtable/relegation battler would go there instead to introduce him to the English game.
The Croatian Declan Rice then.

Interesting to see if he makes it into the first team squad next season or not.
Would be surprised if he even plays top flight for them
Hard for players to acclimatise in january. We had a worldie in Jan 2006 buying Evra and Vida but they didn't really start performing until the following season.
Poch prefers the slow and steady acclimatisation route too

Lucas a good example of this for us
Don’t forget Andy Carroll

No activity anticipated this month for Liverpool.

Sturridge, Moreno and Markovic contracts to expire in the summer; Mignolet, Origi, Lallana and Matip expected to be sold.

Klopp still wants a #10, and Timo Werner is listed as a target to replace the outgoing strikers.
Markovic has to be one of your biggest busts ever considering what you lot paid up for him, but never gets talked about, it's all hurrdurr Carroll.

He’s a winger, but he plays as an inside forward and scores a major chunk of their goals, he plays the same position for Scotland and bagged a hatrick in the nations league. No different to how you play Mane or Salah.

I don’t think the intention would be to improve on Salah, Firmino or Mane.

I imagine the intention is a long term improvement on Shaqiri or Lallana.
Fair enough. I know nothing about him. But if he plays a similar position to Mane and Salah then he could be handy depth.

I think Markovic doesnt get spoken about that much because he was kinda just never given a chance to play. Then has been loaned out forever.

We haven't been active in the January market for quite some time. While VVD ended up signing in January it really was a continuation of stalled negotiations from the summer window (thanks Mr Edwards)

We have a defensive injury crisis but that is short term and manageable. It would be silly to go out and buy a defender for a short term issue.

Any other long term targets will be pursued in the summer window.

I can't see Werner moving anywhere as depth.

We’ll see I suppose. Looking at our midfield options, we haven’t really had a concrete ‘starting 3’ with all 6 players getting substantial minutes. No reason why we couldn’t do the same in attack to keep the squad fresh and able to compete on all fronts. Look at City’s options for their front 6, you could’ve made the same comment about any of them.
