they wanted to exclude bisexual women, they also needed an exemption from anti discrimination laws to do that

which was not granted, oh and the law hasn't been changed recently either its been in place for a decade in its current form to strengthen support for LGBTQI+ people

Lesbians try and get exemption from anti discrimination laws to ban people they don't like from an event.

Oh and they don't like them because of a protected characteristic

And the law protects those same lesbians from discrimination based kn that same protected characteristic.

If they'd gotten an exemption you can bet every single bigot who wants to discriminate against any gay person would have been going for the same thing.

You're taking about a group of people who would risk the safety of their own community in its entirety because they don't like some members of it
