Moderators' almost limitless patience with these types is exemplary. Those such as that poster have such an ugly world view, along with a perverted determination to stick their bibs in needlessly and maliciously, from a base of pure ignorance and an inhuman disregard for 'the other'. It seems to arise from a determination to boost their own pathetic egos by asserting that they are somehow better than the victims of their bile. I know which group of people with which I'd prefer to associate. And there's the nub of it - it is impossible to imagine a civil face-to-face conversation with I Gone.

Gender is fluid. I believe they are referring to it as binary/non binary now.
If a male has a sex change. He does not become a transsexual, he becomes a female.
There is and always will be only 2 sexes. Even hermaphrodites identify as male or female.

Usually when the other bloke says something racist or bigoted with a "I'm just trying to discuss the issue". Then the rest of us who are sick of them or have been watching them escalate from slightly confused to full blown bigot call them out. And it will keep happening.

It would be helpful if you included some sort of link to back up your opinion - otherwise you just look like you are just sharing a personal view and that doesn't hold much weight in the face of the entire body of work on the subject. You'd find very few people who have looked at the issue closely giving such a definite opinion.

Yes, transition surgery is widely accepted as the best form of treatment for people with gender dysphoria. However, the suicide rate among post-op trannies is astronomically high, so it is still far from a perfect treatment...

It might have something to do with the changing hormonal levels in post-op transgender patients. A Korean study found a similar spike in the suicide rate of post-menopausal women on Hormone Replacement Therapies

I would love to respectively talk about the subject Transgender, in sport, bathroom use, pro nouns, transgender being the new black etc. Transgender debate has become the most contentious social issue in recent years, bathroom use, sport and transgender children being the most contentious issues.

I have put myself out there on Big Footy as an openly transgender Woman. I have an Ask Me any Think Forum on BF. I am happy to share my real life experiences as a transgender person.

This thread so far has achieved nothing except expose homophobes and transphobes. I have been called a Eunuch in a dress, I have been told that no trans person can possibly be straight, some posters refer to transgender people as trannies and trans both offensive terms.

Remember when posting we are dealing with real people. I hope BF never remove this thread as in the future it will show what a battle transgender people like myself have had to endure just to live our lives as our true selves.
