Bigot? Seems like you are the bigot, because you are the one who seems to be intolerant of my opinions. You only said nothing to refute any of my points and instead attacked me personally. I do nothing but tolerate the mentally ill, and when I interact with a trans I will entertain their delusion as long as they are respectful to me. However, that is a nicety that I extend people who I have respect for -- I am under no obligation to do so, and it shouldn't be expected of me or anyone else.

My problem is with the expectation for society to play along with the delusions of a small minority of mentally ill people.

The response I expect is "you just can't handle a different opinion so you call me a bigot". I can handle different opinions, it's just that some of those opinions are borne of shitty bigotry and deserve to be called out as such.

I disagree. There is a genuine group who do believe they should be the opposite sex. The problem is, we live in a society where you cannot question anything without being shouted at. This in turn means that what was once silly child's play is being encouraged as a gender dysphoria, when in reality, as I said, it's kids being kids.

I do, however, believe gender is fluid. You are either male or female. If you become a female through gender reassignment surgery, you are female, there is no trans. Gender and sexuality are different and should be treated as such.

i can't seem to find any accurate stats on 'sex-change regret', people who are post-op and regret it, and want to return to their birth gender. it exists but can't find anything solid, though did read up to one fifth.
you come across the odd story about a person who has undergone 'detransitioning' (not necessarily all the way, just moving away from what they perceived to be their proper gender).

it seems there are often concurrent psychiatric/psychological conditions that take place alongside any gender dysphoria - you'd think it would medically be best to attempt to treat such things first if at all possible before going down the path of any invasive surgical intervention, should it be necessary - the same thing you'd do with cosmetic surgery addicts often experiencing body dysmorphia. some people report stopping their transition when their mental health issues were resolved. i suppose my opinion falls along those lines - their health and happiness is the top of the tree rather than becoming a gender - it just so happens that gender re-assignment may be needed for them to be that healthy happy person.
i don't think counselling/therapy for any concurrent psychiatric conditions should take the tack of a 'pray the gay away' type thing, 'avoid at all costs', but rather a holistic approach where their gender is a small part of the overall picture that may need to be addressed but not as first port of call.
that may already take place, i have no idea.

That's just how a certain few act on this site. There's no need for decent arguments when you have authority and can shut down opposing arguments by banning people

Anyway, he'll be back under a new, more abusive pseudonym.

It tends to happen, you ban some racist campaigner and they return under new names, more and more twisted and angry until they **** off to Reddit and everyone else feels happier.
