All the countries are slight moving each day. In about 1000 years time australia and America could be a stone throw away.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Whoops.. cant laugh in a thread like this.

1000 years you reckon hey? Well its 17000kms from Melbourne to Hawaii.. which means according to your theory Australia is moving 17kms every year. or 2kms every month. Thats quite an effort. I can feel Perth moving as we speak. Means I won't have to drive to work when I get back from holidays...I can just hover above my house in a air ballon and in 2 months Perth would have moved 2 kms and I would be hovering at work.

That is simply stupid.

Id advise you to read a book like Catch-22. might give you a better insight into what Im talking about.

What if ppl have have lost ppl in the tsunamis look at this board and get upset and write something down. Then you say that, then you have just made them really sad.

Two things. Australia's moving towards India. And it's more like millions of years, not a thousand.

I am just say australia is moving and america is moving they could be moving different ways which will make it quicker. So it might take 1000 years.

Im fairly confident I wouldn't have offended anyone like you describe there, through my comments in this thread.

I know you're young mate, so I also know you have time ahead to be able to understand what Im saying in the future.

You should really read Catch-22.

You're right the countries are slowly shifting, they expect Australia to join up between Siberia and Alaska. However it will happen over 150 MILLION years at least! Not 1000!

For what its worth and its not worth much Australia is moving north east at 73 mm per year. Working it out on the top of my head....that is about 73 metres in 1000 years. Given America is 17000kms away... thats about 22,100,000 years. I dont think we will need to worry too much.

Australia is moving north 2cm every year or something...My geography teacher said Melbourne will be in the tropics in millions of years...

If stupidity runs in the family your parents are a pair of 4 by 2's.

"The Indian-Australian Plate is slowly moving, carrying the continent with it. When Australia moves, Geoscience Australia measures which way and how fast! These receivers show that Australia is actually moving north east at 73 mm per year."

Didnt you do basic reading when at school

Getting back to the topic of this thread, it has been mentioned a short time ago on Fox news about a man who was found after being missing since the tsunami hit.

Hope still exists that Troy may be out there somewhere.
