Well its official, Stevo has pulled up well after the game on the weekend. Fantastic news for Stevo and the club. I am pretty sure Marksgirl will celbrate tonight

As I said in the other thread if he pulls up well after that game then we shouldn't be worried because he did land on a it a number of times and has gone to his knees a few times as well. Looks like time of has worked.

I think Mark should probably play two more games for the Eagles, for match fitness. If his form drops off, only then drop him to the crows.

Normally I like the eagles players to be performing well at AFL level before they "promoted" and get games under Ron Fuller

Hentchell and Mcgregor are nearly ready for more Eagles games. Skippy, Bock, Shirley not ready yet.

Someone is keen for Stevo, Hentschel and McGregor to play 3 games for the Eagles so they qualify to play SANFL finals

I'm wishing for a GOALFEST all-round.

Stevens can be that spark we desperately need to get the goals flowing....It will be interesting how Carey and Stevens fit together in the forward area at this time of the season. With Carey looking for another high in his career and Stevens wanting another shot at making a big impact in AFL. I believe they can make it work there together.
With support from another half dozen players, this weeks game can give Carey and Stevens a good chance to use the forward50 to our advantage and learn for weeks ahead (next 3 are VERY winnable games)....I guess let's hope we get the win and crawl back up the ladder steadily.

Why do we always cop these struggling Victorian clubs when they have something like the Thompson depression saga to hang onto ?

We have the captains 250th to celebrate but going on past mile-stone performances that is not a good sign for a win.

couldn't agree more...we always manage to get sides either on the rebound, with their backs to the wall or with some sort of ISSUE happening with their club! Annoying...

having said that...OUR backs are to the wall this week and if the side doesnt show the desperation needed to get up over the top of the hawks (at the very least for Roo's sake)...then Houston we have a problem!

Stevo's officially back and that is great our forwardline looks a hell a alot more potent this w/e Carey,Stevo,Welsh,Jericho, McGregor and Johncock I think we will really stretch Hawthorns defence
