Geez I hope we can see some of the Mark Stevens of 2002, if not tomorrow, then in the coming weeks of this season.
Don't want to put a dampner on things, and I hope I'm wrong, but 1st week back from injuries some players are fantastic, 2nd week they can tend to be pretty flat.:(

Thought it was a great second effort. At no time did he try and avoid any contact that could have impacted his knee.
He must be confident his knee will stand up, or he's just going for broke and whatever happens, happens:)

Thats Stevo for you tho. He puts his body on the line even thos he knows he will get crunched. I would still rest him when we play at Telstra Dome (which in not until next year).

What did you think of Schuey??????:D

Just on Schuback, I thought his first half was outstanding.

9 of his 11 disposals came in the first half, and his tackling was excellent as were his efforts to hold the ball in up forward. Kicks the ball a country mile.

He faded a bit in the second half but overall he would have to be pleased with his game.

Schuey was interesting?
What he did, he did well, tackling , kicking, chasing...
Seemed to play more of a linkman role - didn't get front and centre to the base of packs.
What I came away with, was he seemed to switch off badly between contests, came across a little lacsidasical (sorry about spelling), but that could just part of a toughening of his mental approach.

Sheedy (who was guest commentator on 3AW) and Walls were full of praise for him, and predicted a good future.

Schuback v Osborne was good to watch

You mob want to keep us up to date of how his game is received there, and more importantly how he's going after today?

Very true, he did fade out BUT what I was VERY impressed with was his ability to stand up once we needed something special. I keep going back to Carey's first goal. That was Shuey's doing. He first tackled Smith, the ball spilled out and spider got it, Schuey then followed up that tackle with a tackle on spider. The ball spilled out into Carey's hands and he kicked his first.

His pace to run down opponents or at least rush them was fantastic. Fading in and out of the game is expected for a FP or a HFF. Very encouraging and was unlucky not to have 3 goals to his name. He kicked the bloody post.:(

I liked Turbo and Carey yesterday.
They compliment each other more so than what say a Perrie does with the King. You watch the goals start flowing now from Careys boot.

Welshys also pegged up a notch. His desperation to mark in front of Caerys eyes was classic hunger and coupled with his chasing...things look good.

Tell me who will go out for Begley? It wont be Torney which equates to goodbye Nigel Smart;)

You're simply the best, better than all the rest
Better than anyone, anyone I've ever met
I'm stuck on your heart, and hang on every word you say
Tear us apart, baby I would rather be dead

Each time you leave me I start losing control
You're walking away with my heart and my soul
I can feel you even when I'm alone
Oh baby, don't let go

You're the best, better than all the rest
Better than anyone, anyone I've ever met
I'm stuck on your heart, and hang on every word you say
Tear us apart, baby I would rather be dead

Oh, You're the best...

Yes......it was SENSATIONAL to see the mighty Mark Stevens in action yesterday :D

We have missed him sooo much. He is an absolute legend.

Welcome back STEVO!

Stevo value is that he brings other players into the game - whether it be Carey, Welsh, etc. Even Sarge plays OK with Stevo in the side. Glad he got up OK from a heavy landing when Jacobs gave him a late tackle early in the game.

JT must keep his spot & should have been picked in the 1st place in the 22. Massie has struggled of late (reflecting his start on the bench) & may need a run at Norwood with Begley returning.
