To all,

Just looking at the titles of each forum under Geelong and I am gobsmacked - "King finished, Thompson must go" plus many many more negative sentiments. I understand the frustration but we need to be more positive. What I do know is that our team on any given day can destroy oppositions. We were very unlucky last year and this may be having an effect now. We have got quality players that can do the job. I think they need to regroup, stick together as much as possible for more bonding and then work hard on the track. We have quality players and our form will come back - we just need to work hard to get the rewards.

You tell me champ if a player can hardly get up for a game for more than 3 years what his predicament may be...the old Geelong attitude of "she'll be right mate" has not brought a premiership since 1963. All we are tryring to do here is speculate on the reasons why. It would be a pretty bloody boring forum if the only thread titles were "well be ok next week"

well as professional footballers one would of hoped they'd worked this out like about 5 weeks ago at least. I have to agree, after seeing this crap again and again at the cattery it's hard to be positive about what is happening at the moment. A few wins will lift peoples mood a little I guess.

There we go. Turning on each other. Exactly what I was talking about. Lift nananana batboy.

I thought that reply by catman was actually quite amusing. Go the caped crusader! :)

Fair call about the threads. I just think Kingy means a great deal to us and I dont believe he should be given the marching orders just yet. He is a menacing player just going by his size and obviously can perform. Should we give him up who do we bring in? Get Paul Chambers back???? I hope not! There are no quick fixes to win premierships.

We have got the cattle. We just need to increase our workrate and back ourselves. We've hardly changed our list from last year and going on that we should have atleast made the Prelim.
So we can peform but its a matter of working together as one. Bonding from here on in is the key. talking as much as possible between each other. You'd be surprised how much this helps.

regards,

'Champ'

The only line missing from that post is "it's only round eight"

Dude this a Geelong forum... right now the cats are playing absolutely $h1thouse so naturally there's going to be negative threads. For most of us we come here to spill out all our pent up rage and anger so that we don't take it out on some helpless puppy. Or is that just me? Either way if you don't like it than don't read it. I'm sure if Geelong ever play well again than you'll see plenty of threads pontificating how greats the cattas are.

Its a completely different game this year my friend, the new style disadvantages teams like us, while we may be the same list as 2005, the game is vastly different and has left us behind..:( :( :(

I haven't seen many instances of we, the fans, turning on each other. It's fair to say that most of us share the same frustrations with the team. We get the same crap week after week and the GFC is simply not putting in. No amount of back-patting threads in here are going to make that change. I would prefer robust debate to naff 'we'll be okay' threads all over the place.

Exactly. The people who say "we'll be ok" are the same ones who were probably happy with making Grand Finals instead of winning them. I hate every loss, but the manner of the recent ones is what is worst of all.
