if we play hard committed footy we should go very close. if we play the languid, pedestrian crap of last week we will get flogged. that said, i am backing the boys for a win by 4 goals. i like the look of mackenzie too.

our midfield will have to take the honours for us to win this game. if k. cornes and the 3 () burgoynes start getting the majority of the centre clearances we will struggle. as usual our inside 50's will have to be far greater than that of our opposition.with stenglein gone, selwood and another young player will have to step up and take some good runners out of the game. lynch and cones will have to expect the service from the middle to be a bit less precise and our defence will have trouble with tredders (he still deserves respect), ebert and their younger forwards like grey etc.

the boys need to play with a no fear, no doubt mindstate.

Macca is a great kid. You'll love him. I think he'll look the part of an eagles player and will step up pretty early and easily. Whether he retains his position is a different story. I don't think he'll go anywhere, no matter how gun he is. So expect him to play for the eagles for the rest of his career (if he's good enough, which i'm sure he is).
