Roast Tyson Stengle sacked after ****ing up again

Ask the question. Did Tyson Stengle let us down with his behaviour?
Did AFC let Tyson down by not giving him enough support?
in light of This Hawthorn thing. It is what it is.
It was a mess. It’s not a mess any more. Tyson is out the other side. Good on him.
And we get to eat the shit sandwich as per usual.

So we gave him more chances than I even thought and you guys are complaining lol. But in fairness, that photo could have been anything so didn't count as a chance I guess.
If he was that far off the rails with us then he wouldn't play like that in a Grand Final the very nek minnut.
We stink with any personality type other than private school boys.

Other clubs will still give these players a chance if they've shown to have change particularly if you had Eddie act as a guarantor but had Stengle stuff up even once at Geelong, he would have been sacked as well. What is it you don't get???

What I don't get is why you think anyone would buy into your demented apologism.

Just making shit up in any direction hoping something sticks. It's pitiful.

Why are so many melting here? Move on ffs, if we had Stengle we wouldn’t be making finals anyway, well done to him, we are no where near it but in 3-5 years time we will be in with another crack at it.

Agreed, he is also not even half the player if he stays with us the way we have performed. Jimmy Rowe probably kicks couple if he plays for the cats today. Makes a huge difference playing in a good side.

Move on, good luck to him.

Not really. The club did what was right in their idea of reset of culture.
Nicks has used it as a standard. Thats probably his biggest call-of his coaching career so far.
To re-include Tex after his racist comment was also a very difficult call I would imagine.
He has gained some furrows in his brow with two very significant calls in his tenure so far.
Its ****en hard work man.

what's the AFL penalty for strike 3?
12 weeks, yeah we went over it.

But given the importance Eddie has on Stengle, and no doubt the reluctance Carlton would have in the mentorship, I do wonder if moving him to WWT was a way around that.

"We put forward a proposal that he would remain on our list for the balance of his contract," Adelaide's head of football Adam Kelly told reporters on Wednesday.

"But we deemed it appropriate that he did that outside of the (AFL) football program in 2021 and he play in the SANFL.

Stop.

Another thing worth noting the lack of negative media around this towards our club.

Kano, Caro and Crocmedia Crew have barely mentioned how we cut him. And the end result. Does seem a bit odd? The story writes itself, as mentioned here how "pathetic" we handled it. Low hanging fruit for those clickbait generators.

Probably two reasons for this.

AFL's paranoia about white powder.

And more importantly the specific role Eddie and his family have played with their support. No doubt some cultural sensitives there.

Today numerous mentions of Eddie's role. And past mistakes. Stengle's sensational season. Yet our club not mentioned at all.

Makes me think the industry itself understands the specific situation.

Probably best for this to be left alone?

There was always a push from Kane and Rucci that we needed to take a strong Stance. If we didn’t, we were weak.
Then mid year when Tyson would have been available it was, what a steal it would be.
their unique plays are like clockwork.

So you can't name one.

Every club over looked him in the midseason draft he was eligible for.

Geelong did take a punt, but also a calculated one as they also employed Eddie.

You do realise what…

“Player A needs to take time off for mental health reasons”.. followed by player A spending 2-4 weeks on the sidelines..

means.

The AFL even said when it introduced its recreational drug use rules a few years back that any player who fails a drug test because recreational drugs show up in their system would not have their name announced publicly…

That it would be dealt with privately.

When that player gets caught in public and the media gets involved this obviously doesnt work.

I saw Caro blink three times in a television interview last year which was obviously code that there was a super secret reason why we were correct that she couldnt say on air and she's actually really proud of us because we're the best.

You don't think it is odd the media have not got stuck into us. They do for everything else.

As I said, probably a specific reason why.

I do agree this case strayed from the norm.

And might be specific reasons why.

I do get why you guys are upset. It is frustrating we couldn't make it work
